Rising up to the challenge of our rival.

Louis's POV:
"Rock-paper-scissors, shoot!"
"Oh, I won," I said, a grin forming. "Guess I'll go first... I'll take forward." I glanced at the others, who were already picking their spots. Bachira and Isagi took the wings, and that worked out for me.
Kuon began sketching our positions and non-excisting strategy. The game was about to start, and honestly, I was just hoping not to trip over my own feet or falling asleep, since I couldn't get much sleep last night.
"Hey, Louis," Isagi said as we walked out of the locker room. "Do you think we'll actually make it through this?"
I shrugged, trying to sound optimistic. "Who knows? But it's exciting, right?"
He nodded, his eyes full of determination. "Yeah!"
Once we were on the field, we waited for Team X to arrive. They stepped onto the pitch with a menacing aura, especially the guy in the center.
I started the game, charging toward the enemy's half, two defenders rushing at me. I easily sidestepped them faster than I sidestep my responsibilities... Too bad I was more focused on the other team than my own.
"Louis, behind you!" Isagi shouted.
I whipped around, frustrated. "What the heck are you doing, Raichi?!"
Raichi grinned, not a care in the world. "I just have to score the most goals to survive, right? I'll handle this myself!"
His cocky attitude didn't last long. Kunigami swooped in and snatched the ball from him.
"If you want to play by 'Blue Lock' rules, you'll have to get past me, Raichi," Kunigami said, and our team quickly fell into formation. From the sidelines, I heard Kuon shouting, "Hold your positions! Or at least try to look like you know what you're doing!"
Team X wasn't backing down either. Players from their side rushed to fight for the ball, but it didn't take long before the real threat emerged—the best player from Team X, he snatched the ball and barreled toward the net.
"Get out of my way, or I'll kill you!" he shouted, his dark aura and glowing red eyes making him look terrifying.
Kira wasn't intimidated. "You're not getting past me!" he yelled, diving in just in time to graze the ball. It spun off-course, but luck was on our side—Bachira was right there, ready to save the day. We exchanged a quick glance, and without missing a beat, we sprang into action.
