Chapter 2: New roommates, same old headaches

Song: Believer

I'm fired up and tired of the way

That things have been, oh

Louis's POV:

Football isn't some grand battle for me—it's just a game. A game with rules, where the ball moves and you kick it into a net. Simple, right? No deep philosophy, no grand purpose. It's just about winning, surviving, and keeping your sanity.

People can pour passion into it if they want, but I'm just here for the ride. Caring about glory or fame seems lika lot of noise. I'm not here to play hero but just to score. Nothing more, nothing less.

But then again, why did I even join this project?

Ugh, I'm exhausted, and we haven't even started yet.

Everyone was split onto separate buses. I found a seat next to a boy with long black hair that draped over his eyes, making it hard to read his expression. He was silent and seemed content to stay that way. I didn't interrupt him either.

"G-gomen, can I take a sit here?"  A little later, another boy come and asked. He was tall, about my height, with a solid, athletic build and short brown hair. He looked incredibly nervous.

When I glanced over, he immediately stammered, "N-no need if it's a bother!" waving his hands apologetically.

Am I really that scary? "Oh, no, it's fine," I replied calmly, hoping to reassure him.

"Uh... my name's Tokimitsu Aoshi," he offered with a small, uncertain smile.

"Louis... Seishu," I responded, glancing at the other guy beside us, who was already buried in his manga and in his own world.

I leaned against the window, popped in my earbuds, and let the calm music drown out the engine hum. After some hour or so, massive building was seen in a distance. So this is 'Blue Lock'?

We started to get off the bus. A stunning woman with short hair was handing out uniforms and collecting our wallets and phones.

"Next, Seishu Louis," she said, giving me my uniform. "Room Z," she added with a smile.

"Thanks," I replied as I stepped inside. Aiza was on the other bus, so I figured she must be here somewhere. Glancing at my uniform—288...Z. What does that even mean?

I walked into the room with the huge Z sign on the door

I walked into the room with the huge Z sign on the door. Everyone's eyes immediately snapped to me. For a second, I swear, it was like I could feel the awkwardness in the air.
