Kevin shook his head, “No, absolutely not. I can’t do this.” Dean patted his shoulder, “Yeah you can. Just watch them, and don’t do anything stupid.”

“Thanks,” Kevin said dryly. “Garth you barely even know me, you can’t possibly trust me to watch your kids,” Garth waved him off, “You’re basically family, if the Winchesters trust you, I trust you.”

“Well, they don’t trust me, and neither should you,” Kevin insisted, but Garth just laughed, “Dean was right, you are a hoot.” Sam pressed his lips down trying to hide his smile, “Yeah, Dean? Kevin’s a hoot?”

“Oh shut it,” Dean said, walking away, “We’re not done here! I can’t do this alone!” Kevin called. Dean yelled back, “You’re not alone! You got Jack!”

“That’s not help!” Kevin yelled back, but it was too late. The door had slammed closed, with those three behind it. It didn’t take long to hear the Impala taking off either.

Kevin shook his head, “Don’t get me wrong Jack, I like you better than any of them, but you are called Kid for a reason.”

“It’s okay. I knew what you meant,” Jack assured, “How long do you think they’ll be gone?”

Kevin sighed, “I don’t know. It doesn’t matter how good of hunters they are when their luck is always biting them in the ass. Apparently if you’re around them long enough, it starts biting you too.”

Kevin was glad that the two had been changed and fed before the three left, but he felt heavily judged by the twins. Which is why it was such a relief when Jack began to do shadow puppets for them, “And this is a hawk.”

The kid’s shadows were much better than anything Kevin could do, but what did he expect? The kid is part angelic afterall, but he still wanted to show the three the one puppet he’s known since he was a kid, “Have you seen this one, it’s a dog.” His hand was shaped like an “e” with a pinkie up as an ear. When he moved his thumb it looked like the dog was barking. Which was surprisingly amusing to the twins’ and Jack.

Jack looked back at his hand and copied Kevin’s dog, and the two let them “bark” to each other. Kevin put his hand down after a bit, and it didn’t take long for Jack to form a better looking dog, “You won again.” Kevin said, amused.

Jack shook his head, “I liked the dog you made better. I think the twins’ did too.” Kevin shrugged, “They probably just had gas.”
Kevin looked back at the twins’ shaking his head, “I still can’t believe they’re named after Sam and Castiel.” On one hand, it is Garth after all, but on the other, how did he get Bess to agree?

“You know, they do resemble them a bit too, it’s their facial expressions, that irritated look? That’s Sam,” Kevin said, Jack frowned, “Does Sam ever get irritated with you?”

Kevin shook his head, “No, but I’ve seen it enough pointed at Dean like everyday.” Jack nodded, “Sibling matters.”

Kevin laughed through his nose, “Sibling matters,” he agreed. Wondering if that’s something Castiel taught Jack.

The door creaked open, and out came a silver knife landing on the trim of the door, “Hey! It’s us!” Dean shouted, putting his hands up, Kevin blinked blankly at him, “I know, your car squeaks.”

Dean frowned, and dislodged the knife, putting it in his pocket, “Your knife privileges are revoked.”

Kevin raised up another as a challenge, Garth clapped his hands, distracting the two, “How were they?”

“I know they’re babies, but they’re as judgemental as the people they’re named after, but they were good. They just stared into my soul the entire time,” Kevin said. Getting up. The twins were fast asleep, looking peaceful as ever. Garth went over silently gushing over them.

Sam’s face was scrunched up, “I’m not judgemental,” Dean rolled his eyes, and patted Sam’s shoulder, “Let’s not lie to ourselves, Sam.”

Sam pushed Dean’s hand off his shoulder, “Where’s Jack?” Kevin pointed to the couch where Jack was sleeping, curled up in a spare blanket. Sam smiled softly, “Castiel and Eileen finished their hunt, I’ll have Cas come get him.”

Dean nudged Sam, “I knew those muscles were fake,” Sam pushed Dean into the wall, “Totally fake,” Dean gasped, shaking his head at Kevin, “That was nothing.”

Kevin stared blankly at Dean, “Uh huh.” Dean rubbed his shoulder before walking out of the house, waving bye to Garth. Kevin was about to follow suit before turning to face Garth, “You do have some pretty cool kids, Garth.”

“Thank you,” Garth said, staring at the two fondly, “Bess and I have quite a few kids already, but don’t be surprised if we have another and name them after you.”

Kevin frowned, “For babysitting?” Garth laughed, “No, I’ve heard some great stories about you, Kevin Freaking Solo.” Kevin shook out his hair, “I didn’t know they talked about me and that story.”

“Like I said before, I trusted you because they trust you, goodnight Kevin.” Kevin nodded, “Goodnight.” He turned around to see Jack’s trio of parents, Eileen leading Sam and Castiel. He shook his head and moved out of their way. Shaking his head at the thought of the story, “Kevin Freaking Solo.”
