I decided to take this story down a very certain path. I see war being romanticized and glorified all over the media. Alongside this, I also notice just how much the other side is always heavily villainized; whether they started the war or not. With all of that considered, I thought the best way to write a story about war was to make it realistic. I tried to show how gruesome and scary war could really be. I tried to show how the other side is also human and doesn't just act on murderous instincts. There's always a reason behind a murder during war; even it it was for nothing.
