"do you have a crush on Chloé?" I whisper to Sabrina. She jumps and blushes hard. "I don't know what you're talking about." She says. I lean over and look at her. "Did you know she's into girls?" Sabrina blushes again and says, "who told you that?" I smile. "chloé did." Sabrina looks at me and says, "why would she tell you that?" I shrug and say, "she says she has a crush on me, but I think she's got it mixed up." Sabrina looks at me in surprise mixed with sadness. "What do you mean, she's mixed up? Don't tell me you think it's wrong for her to like girls!" I shake my head and say, "I think it's perfectly fine for her to like girls, but I think she is mixed up about which girl she likes." I smile and continue. "She looks at you differently than she looks at me." Sabrina blushes and says, "that's nonsense. Why would she have a crush on me? All I am to her is a servant." Her eyes cloud over and I hug her. "Maybe that's how she used to feel, but haven't you noticed she's been acting differently?" Sabrina nods and sniffles. I pat her back and she cries gently. "She's been so confusing lately, I'm trying not to get my hopes up but it happened anyways." Sabrina says after a moment.
I explain everything that happened so far, from the night on the Eiffle Tower, to the confession, to the postponed date. Sabrina listens then says, "so you think when she saw you cry, it awakened her humanity, and now she's noticing me for the first time?" I nod and say, "exactly!" I pause and look at Sabrina then say, "do you want me to let her down gently so you can try a date with her?" Sabrina shakes her head quickly and says, "I don't want you to give up your happiness for me." I smile and say, "to be honest, I was already planning on letting her down gently. I wanted her to try out a date and realize it's not what she thought it would be. With Gabriel's fashion event coming up, I'm too swamped for a date, so I had already planned to let her down before the event." Sabrina thought for a moment then said, "just try not to hurt her too much." I nod and stand up, "well, shall we get going now?" Sabrina nods and stands as well, and we go our separate ways. As I'm leaving the park, I see a silhouette standing just behind a tree. Before I can make out who it is, they run off. I shrug and walk home.
