"... I had already planned to let her down before the event." Marinette was saying. My heart started racing. I ducked back behind the tree and put a hand to my chest. Was she talking about me? Was she planning on dropping me and our date? Did she ever even like me to begin with? Why would she, after all I did to her? My thoughts were so loud I couldn't hear anything. Fighting back tears, I turn and run.

I get back to Daddy's hotel and run straight to my room. Blinded by tears I end up running straight into someone. "Are you okay? What happened?" My half sister Zoe catches me before I fall. I drag Zoe into my room and explain to her what I heard. After I finish she hugs me and says, "maybe Marinette is just too busy right now? With Gabriel's fashion event coming up, she must be." I sniffed and say, "then why not just tell me? Why did she have to wait until after I left to say it?" Zoe shrugged and said, "if it would help you feel better, I can stay with you for a bit. We could watch a movie." I nod and turn on my flat screen. The only movies that look good are all cheesey romance movies. I put one on and order some ice cream from the butler.

Zoe and I spend the rest of the day watching movies and eating ice cream together.
