_________________________________________Vanya's Pov :
As we drove away from my house, tears pricked at the corners of my eyes, threatening to spill over. Leaving my family was never easy, and the thought of returning to our usual routine felt suffocating. Rajveer Ji and I had shared a wonderful time together, laughing. But now, reality beckoned, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of melancholy. The car's stereo played a soulful romantic song, and I couldn't help but notice Rajveer's fondness for music, especially love songs. His eyes would light up, and his lips would curve into a gentle smile whenever a sentimental tune played. It was as if the music spoke directly to his heart. Suddenly, Rajveer pulled over in front of an orphanage, and my curiosity was piqued.
"Would you like to come with me, wifey?" he asked, his eyes locked on mine with a mixture of hesitation and longing.
"But I think it's better if you wait here." I nodded, intrigued by the mysterious visit. What could he be doing here? Was it something related to his past or perhaps a charitable endeavor? The questions swirled in my mind as I watched him disappear into the orphanage.
The waiting seemed interminable. Thirty minutes ticked by, feeling like an eternity. I fidgeted with my hands, glancing at the clock on the dashboard every few seconds. Where was he? What was taking so long? Finally, Rajveer returned, his expression troubled. His eyes, usually bright and warm, seemed haunted, like the shadows of his past had resurfaced. My heart skipped a beat as I sensed something was amiss.
"RV ji, koi baat hui hai kya?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. Concern etched my face as I searched his eyes for answers. He didn't respond. Instead, he looked away, his jaw clenched, and his fingers gripping the steering wheel tightly. I knew that look - it was the one he wore when he was struggling to contain his emotions.
"RV ji, main kuch puch rhi hoon," I pressed, my voice laced with worry. What had happened? Who had hurt him? Without a word, Rajveer pulled me into a tight hug. His sudden embrace felt desperate, like he was seeking solace in my arms. I felt his pain, his vulnerability, and my heart went out to him. As I wrapped my arms around him, holding him close, I could feel his ragged breathing. His body trembled, and I knew he was fighting to keep his emotions in check. Tears pricked at my eyes, and I blinked them back, focusing on the man, my husband, in my arms.
"Who hurt you?" I wondered, my heart racing with worry. What secrets lay hidden behind Rajveer's troubled eyes? What demons had resurfaced, threatening to consume him? In that moment, I knew I'd do anything to help him heal, to chase away the shadows and bring back the warmth to his eyes. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of a journey that would test our love, our trust, and our resolve.

I was enveloped in Rajveer's arms, held so tightly it felt like he feared I'd vanish into thin air. His lips brushed against my forehead, sending shivers down my spine. His hands cradled my cheeks, thumbs tracing gentle patterns on my skin. Our eyes met, and I drowned in the depths of his. His gaze was soft and vulnerable, while mine brimmed with unshed tears. I fought to contain them, but the anguish etched on his face made them spill over. He caught the tears with his fingertips, his touch electrifying. Then, he pulled me back into a fierce hug.
"Lotus, do you also feel scared by my touch?" he whispered, his voice laced with uncertainty. I pulled back, incredulous. How could he think that? His touch was my sanctuary, my haven. I'd never felt even 1% of the safety and security I felt in his arms with anyone else.
