When I woke up the next morning, I felt someone on top of me. I look down and see it's Callie. That's right she fell asleep on me last night.
I am just looking at her while she sleeps. Watching her chest move up and down from breathing. Then I see the scar on her forehead right above her eyebrow. Without thinking, I reach to gently trace her scar.
She's so pretty. I wanted to tell her how I feel but I can't. Every time I tried, I chickened out or someone interrupted. After her mom died she pushed me away, and then she moved, But she's back now. Maybe things can be different?
I close my eyes and try to go back to sleep without thinking about her laying on me. I start to feel her stir, I feel her trying to sit up but can't because of my hold on her.
I can feel her gaze on me. "Are you done staring" I keep my eyes closed. "I wasn't staring" I just know she's blushing. She tries getting up again but I tighten my hold on her. She groans and does something I didn't expect. She laid back down.
10 minutes later, I hear JJ wake up. Of course someone just had to wake up. "Morning" JJ says to me and Callie. "Morning JJ!" Callie says enthusiastically. "Is he asleep?" Callie turns her head to look at me. "No, I dont think so." I hear him chuckle. "Classic Eli" He walks past me to go to the bathroom and slap my chest mumbling a 'morning'.
Alex and Elisa wake up next. ¨Good Morning guys!¨ Callie says to the two who just woke up. They both mumble a morning still not fully awake. "Elijah let me up now" I keep my eyes closed, ignoring her. "Elijah?" I ignored her again. "I know you're awake" again I ignored her. "Elijah Jaden Haynes" I open my eyes and roll them "What Callie" I ask her annoyed. "Let me go" I let her go "There get up so and be quiet so I can sleep"
"That was a horrible shit" JJ tells us. I sit up and swing my legs off the couch. "How are you my best friend?" I asked no one. I hear Alex, Callie and Elisa laugh. I glare at Callie "What are you laughing at, freckle face?" I say to Callie. I don't know how I came up with that, but that's a nickname I've always called her and she absolutely HATES it.
She instantly stops laughing. ¨You have freckles too, and I'm laughing at you Jaden" She says my middle name again. I glare at her and she returns it. Isabell finally wakes up. "9 in the morning and y'all already going" everyone laughs at her statement except me.
"So, what are we doing today guys?" JJ asks the group "Shopping!" All the girls say in unison. "Shopping it is" I groan at JJ's words. "What's wrong Elijah? You don't want to see me trying on a bikini?" Callie teases "Hell no!" I look away. "I'm gonna get changed, I'll be back"
We decided to go to the mall because the girls practically begged us to go with them. So we were in the car. Callie, Isa, and Elisa got into Isabell car, while JJ, Alex and I got into Alex's car.
When we got there the girls all jumped out of the car like it was on fire. We walk into the mall and we are going to one of our teammate, Jackson's, pool party and the girls just had to buy new bikini's.
So here we are waiting for the girls to try on the bikinis. When I saw Calista in the black bikini bottoms with the matching black top with the straps tied behind her neck, my little friend was really excited. "What do you guys think?"Callie says posing "OMG WE ARE GETTING THAT FOR YOU!" Elisa says jumping up and down..
"Don't you think that's a little revealing?." Alex says. "Oh my god, Alex, I'll be fine" Calista rolls her eyes and raises her eyebrows to me. "You look hot" I say nonchalant. Callie rolls her eyes but I can just see the red on her face."Shut up, jerk!" I smirk as she goes back into the changing room.
We go back Callie's house. I put my mouth beside Callie's ear and whispered "Your new bikini looks really good on you." She looks up at me and whispers " I hate you" . I smirk and she turns away.
When we got to their house I see an unfamiliar car and I look at Alex and Callie. They both have wide eyes. "Our dads home." Alex says
We all get out and walk in. Callie's body is tense and she goes beside Alex holding his hand walking inside. "Y'all should go home." Alex says "Oh okay" Isa says ¨Come on guys.¨ Elisa tells us "Is it just me or they all look scared for their lives?" JJ says what i'm thinking. "Yeah they do" I reply.
When I get home after leaving them, I text Alex. I know something was by Callie's body language, and the anger in Alex's eyes.
5:43pm Me: Hey
It takes Alex almost 5 hours to reply to my text. It usually takes him less than 10 minutes. I immediately know something is wrong
10:00pm Me: Are you sure? You looked mad and Callie looked terrified
10:02pm Alex: Yes, Callie was just nervous to see dad after so long.
10:02pm Me: Ohhh Okay.10:03pm Alex: Yehh
10:03pm Alex: Ima go now.10:04pm Me: Okay night

I put my phone away, I know everything is not okay. I turn my phone off and put it on the table beside my bed and go to bed because tomorrow is our first Soccer game with Alex back.
I can't wait to see Callie at the party tomorrow. She looked really good in that bikini.
What the hell? Why did I just think that? I need to go to bed I think my mind is way to tired to think straight. I can't think of her like that. She broke our promise. I hate her.

I wake up at 5:45am to get ready for school. I stand up and stretch my arms before I get in the shower. I turn the water on and let it warm up before I step in. I take about a 10 minute shower. I throw on a black compression shirt with grey sweats.
I head downstairs.¨Good morning honey, I made pancakes!¨ I love moms pancakes. I sit and eat three pancakes with whipped cream, blueberries, strawberries and obviously syrup. I finish the pancakes ¨Thanks mama¨ I give her a side hug and kiss her forehead. I get my back and keys, get on my bike and head to school.
I pull in and see Alex and Calista walking in. I get off my bike, grab the keys and run up beside them. Callie turns her head and smiles weakly at me.
"What's wrong Cal?" I used to call her that nickname before she left. "It's nothing Eli¨ She reassures me. I nod ¨Okay, You know i'm here for you right?¨ She looks at me and knows i'm not lying. ¨I know¨ she says softly.
The bell rings, ¨What's your 1st period?¨ I ask her ¨Health Science 1¨ I smirk, ¨We have 1st period together.¨ She rolls her eyes she whispers under her breath ¨Oh god kill me now¨
