It was yet another rainy day.

Aster Fett sat on her small bed next to the window, reading another medical book.  She and her little sister, Omega, used to be cramped up in Nala Se's private lab for the longest time.  It wasn't until recently that they got to explore the cloning facility and work in the med bay.

It was nice to be so cooped up, but Aster still preferred to be in her room.  She didn't like having to stick to Nala Se's side all the time while walking around the facility, or the small head tilts and looks she'd receive from the clones and cadets.

Most of the clones didn't like the hard rain of Kamino, but Aster found it peaceful, even during storms.  The sound it of pattering the glass calmed her from her thoughts and memories.  Made her think everything would be okay.

But it would never be okay, not since Order 66 had been executed only days ago, if that.

Aster had known about the inhibitor chips, and the plot against the Jedi.  She'd overheard Nala Se and Lama Su speak of it.  She'd read files and reports about a clone's chip malfunctioning, and another dying to try and prove it.

Ever since, she'd been dreading the day it would happen.  If only she could have told someone-but no one would have believed her.  No one even knew she existed.  And it wasn't like she had a way off Kamino, she'd been trapped in Nala Se's lab with Omega for the longest time.

"Aster!"  Omega called, running into the room excitedly.  "They're back!  Clone Force 99, I saw them during the meeting."

Aster slipped a bookmark into her book and set it down next to her.  "Let me guess; you're going to see them before Nala Se comes looking for you."

"No," Omega told her, grabbing the older clone's hand and pulling.  "We're going to see them before Nala Se comes looking."

"You know how much I dislike people," Aster whined, resisting only slightly, as she knew Omega wouldn't give up until she got what she wanted.  "Don't pull me, I can walk, you know."

Omega let go and Aster reluctantly sat up, tugging on her oversized brown leather jacket-the only thing she had left from her father, besides a single teardrop earing.  He'd never worn much other than his Mandalorian armor, and sometimes the Kamino jumpsuits the clones wore.  The leather jacket was one of the few clothes other than that he'd ever worn or owned.

Aster had gotten it after he'd been killed.

Omega grinned at the sight, knowing it meant Aster was giving in.  She almost always did when it came to Omega, only because the younger clone was very persistent and very hard to say no to.  She'd tried saying no before.  In the end, the no turned into a yes.

Aster let Omega lead her down the halls of the cloning facility, though she protested at how hard the blonde clone was pulling as they speed-walked.  The two girls finally made to where Clone Force 99 were walking down the hall.

They were only following the clones for a short time, wondering how to introduce themselves, when they came to a halt, Hunter's voice calling from the front, "lads, we've got company."

The five clones turned around, Hunter coming up to get a better look.  None of them seemed sure what to make of the two girls.

"What's that?"  Wrecker asked, looking between the two female clones.

"Adolescent human female," tech answered, and Aster resisted rolling her eyes.  "Origins... uncertain."

"I'm Omega," Omega piped up, but Aster didn't say anything, crossing her arms.

"What are you doing on Kamino, kids?"  Hunter asked.

"Kidnapped," Aster said sarcastically.  "And I'm a teenager-"

"Their jobs, of course," Nala Se interrupted, catching the squad's attention.  "They are my medical assistants.  Come, Omega, Aster.  There is work to do."

Aster followed her immediately, Omega a few seconds after.  The two followed the Kaminoan back to the med bay, where she gave them a short lecture before leaving them with AZI while she left to her lab.

Aster worked in silence, while Omega talked about Clone Force 99, how amazing they were as she'd thought, even though they'd had the shortest conversation in history.  By the time lunch rolled around, Aster was ready for a break from the bright medical bay.

She and Omega told AZI where they were going, and after a small protest from the droid, the two headed to the mess hall.
