Morning light filtered gently through the curtains as Seonghwa stirred in bed, the tension of the previous night still weighing heavily on him. His body felt tired—exhausted, even—and his mind begged for rest.

When he opened his eyes, he found Hongjoong already sitting up beside him, leaning against the headboard with a book in hand. The sight of his boyfriend's calm, focused expression soothed Seonghwa in a way nothing else could.

Without a word, Seonghwa shifted closer and laid his head in Hongjoong’s lap. He let out a deep, contented sigh as the tension in his body finally began to melt away.

Seonghwa: (softly) "Joong..."

Hongjoong glanced down from his book, a small smile curling at the corners of his lips. Gently, he placed his hand on Seonghwa's head, stroking his hair in slow, comforting motions.

Hongjoong: "Tired, baby?"

Seonghwa nodded lazily, his eyes already starting to close again. He could hear the steady rhythm of Hongjoong’s heartbeat, a sound that had always brought him comfort. It lulled him, making it easy to forget the shadows and whispers from the night before.

Seonghwa: (murmuring) "So tired..."

Hongjoong continued to stroke Seonghwa’s hair, his voice soft and soothing.

Hongjoong: "You did great last night, Seonghwa. You don’t have to worry about anything. Just rest now."

Seonghwa sighed, allowing himself to fully relax. It didn’t take long before he slipped into a light nap, feeling safe and cared for in the warmth of Hongjoong’s lap.

Some time later, San entered the room, his footsteps quiet but full of purpose. He paused for a moment in the doorway, a soft smile tugging at his lips when he saw Seonghwa napping with his head on Hongjoong’s lap.

San: (whispering) "Morning, Joong. How’s he doing?"

Hongjoong looked up, his hand still gently playing with Seonghwa’s hair.

Hongjoong: (whispering) "He’s exhausted, but he’s resting now. Poor thing barely slept last night."

San walked over to the bed, his eyes filled with love as he gazed down at Seonghwa. Without a word, he crawled into bed beside them, wrapping an arm around both of his boyfriends.

San: "Our baby needs to be spoiled today. Nothing but rest and cuddles."

Hongjoong chuckled softly, nodding in agreement.

Hongjoong: "Agreed."

San leaned down and placed a soft kiss on Seonghwa’s forehead, careful not to disturb him too much. Seonghwa stirred slightly at the touch, his lips curling into a faint smile even in his sleep.

As San settled in beside them, he pulled both Seonghwa and Hongjoong into his embrace, wrapping them in warmth and safety. The three of them lay together in comfortable silence, San’s strong arms keeping them close.

For the first time in what felt like days, Seonghwa’s heart was at ease. He was surrounded by the two people he loved most in the world, and in their arms, he felt truly safe.
