"Silas knew that this was her intention and therefore, he chose to dessicate and starve in darkness forever instead, both out of love and loyalty to Amara and out of spite, anger and revenge against Qetsiyah. For two millennia, Silas has lain buried, awaiting the day when someone would find him and free him from his tomb. He started tormenting me when I was born and has since I grew old enough harassed me to wake him," Davina snarled.
"Well love, we plan on killing him, how does that suit you?" Kol asked.
Davina smiled widely at him.

Dahlia leaned forward, steepling her fingers. "You mentioned something about Silas harassing you. Elaborate, child."
Davina took a deep breath and her voice dropped to a hushed whisper. "He whispered to me, showed me visions of Amara trapped, tormenting me. All he wanted was to be free, to be united with her." She shuddered. "But with every passing year, the visions grew more vivid, the pain more real."
Hayley set her hand gently on Davina's arm. "He uses your empathy, Davina. He feeds off it. Like a parasite."
"And he knows you possess the power to awaken him. The cure to the spell he cursed himself to stone with, the knowledge of the spell ... it is within you," Kol added, a dark note of amusement lacing his voice.
Davina nodded, a flicker of fear crossing her eyes. "He promised me an end to this torment. He promised to make Amara free if I helped him."
"A promise from a corpse, Davina," Klaus countered, his gaze fixed on the witch. "A sick and twisted promise from a man who has already shown you his true nature."
"And what would your father want?" Freya asked, her voice like silk over steel. The eyes she used to view Davina were knowing.
Davina shifted uncomfortably. "To stop Silas. To keep him trapped."
