Dahlia waved her hands over Elijah. Gone were the dusty five hundred year old clothes, replaced with a dark charcoal suit. Crisp white shirt and a pale silvery grey tie. His long unruly hair that had been fashionable and in style for men in 1492 was clipped and groomed sharply by magic. "There, now you have joined the twenty-first century nephew."
Elijah adjusted the cuffs of his shirt and glanced at himself in the mirror of his aunt's sitting room. "Five hundred years Niklaus kept me daggered?" Elijah challenged his dark eyes, cool and disapproving.
"You let Katerina slip through your fingers causing Niklaus to wait a further five hundred years to break his curse Elijah, did you not think there would be consequences? Niklaus Rebekah and Kol were never going to allow you to interfere when the next doppelganger was born and ready for reaping. Niklaus has achieved his greatest desire and has broken his wolf curse." Dahlia informed him.
"So why did a human wake me?" Elijah inquired, annoyed a member of his family hadn't bothered to wake him..
"Niklaus was ....held up with other matters," Dahlia imparted mildly. "You have once again joined the family Elijah tread cautiously nephew," Was her warning, turning to walk away dismissing him.
Elijah left her suite of rooms and looked around the mansion they were in. He followed the scent of the female who had undaggered him. He found the blonde woman in the library alone. The rest of his family ensconced in their rooms he assumed. Elijah cleared his throat to get the woman's attention.
Cami turned at the sound, her eyes widening when she saw the man, Elijah. Marcel had told her when he had learnt she had pulled the dagger out shaking his head. "You look different," She smiled, "How are you feeling? Your skin colour is normal now," She teased. She had been horrified seeing the grey vampire in a coffin with a dagger in his heart. She had been snooping while the family were away and had found his coffin in the attic. "Marcel was very angry with me for removing your dagger...but I was just so shocked to find you in a coffin. It was a reflex action. I hope I didn't hurt you or cause trouble with your family," Camille probed.
"Thank you, Camille isn't it?" He asked. She nodded her head.
"Or Cami, Camille sounds like an old lady's name," She smiled again.
"Camille," He went on, "I appreciate you undaggering me.....it has been sometime since I was daggered. And no it did not hurt. As for my family I have seen my aunt, hence the new attire. As for my siblings I have not yet had the pleasure of reacquainting myself with them."
"Marcel was vague on why you were daggered...can I ask why?" She requested.
"Family politics," Elijah replied evasively. "Are you comfortable here?"
"Yes thank you. We came from New Orleans. There was a war going on with the witches. Marcel brought Davina, Josh and I here for help. He told us Klaus could help us?"
