AUTHOR'S POV.

She kept tossing here and there in bed.sleep had forsaken her and she didn't know what else to do. She kept staring at her phone screen for a message or a call from Percy.

She hated to think of herself as clingy but it's not everyday she willingly make out with a boy in his room. Usually she had her senses and would do anything to avoid the situation but not this time.

Her common sense abandoned her the moment she accepted to go with him into his room. And her usual self discipline and righteousness went out the window the moment his lips touched hers. She admitted she made lots of stupid decisions when it came to Percy. Couldn't tell why .

Huffing, she decided to go to the bungalow. He might be there. She got up and dressed in a black trouser and a sleeveless white top and set off before she could change her mind. It was easier telling herself that she just wanted to know he's alright. God knows she had other reasons though.

The guy made out with her and hasn't called or texted her since. She believed she had every right to start panicking. And it wasn't helping that they never talked about what they were now. She didn't know where she stood with him.

When she got there she was surprise to find a party going on , on a week day. These people seemed to always have something to celebrate . The crowd was too thick so she tried to reach him but he didn't pick up. She decided to check their usual hideout and when she did find him, she  suddenly regretted making that decision .

There was a girl on Percy's laps kissing him passionatly. She felt nauseous at once. So this was why he wouldn't pick her call? And there she was thinking that maybe something bad had happened to him.

*Or he had ditched you for another girl which seem to be the case*

She watched as they kept on kissing . Tears began to well up in her eyes. She wanted to ran off and sit somewhere and cry hard but she was glued to the spot. He stood up to follow the girl and on turning, came face to face with me.

His face was actually blank. No shock,no shame, no regret!! That was it ! She stormed out of the Hall with tears running down her face  and bumped into someone at the door. She couldn't believe how stupid she had been, thinking that they could work. That he would want someone like her.

"Sorry...... Phoebe?"

Harold, what was he doing here? The last person she wanted to run into was her childhood best friend who wouldn't hesitate to grab any opportunity to prove to her that he was the right guy for her, that they belonged together.

He held her shoulder and shook her slightly.

"Phoebe are you ok? What's wrong? "

She managed to shake her head and ran past him. He kept calling but she didn't stop......

Maybe he had been right... everyone had been right. At least Harold wasn't a player who would kick her heart around. He'd done nothing but been good to her yet she couldn't see herself being with someone like him.
It served her right...she deserved to be heartbroken for treating the poor boy so badly....

Back in the room Percy sat back on the chair and the girl turned to look at him.

"What? " she asked.

"Nothing. Let's just....sit here for a while. It's still pretty early you know."

His watch read 11:17 then. She smiled happily and resumed her position next to him, oblivious to how abnormal his heart was beating and how he'd be any where but there at that moment. She placed her hand on his thigh but he didn't move, he sat still.
