PERCY'S POV.
I refused the shots Lucky offered for the forth time that evening. My body was present but my mind was far away. A month ago we had planned on attending this party together. It was the most famous annual gathering of the college and I was shocked to know she never attended.
This year however, she was going to attend it because I requested. I was excited about bringing her and couldn't wait to see her reaction. Now I wasn't too sure she was attending and even if she did, it wouldn't be with me.
I sighed. How many times have I told myself I wasn't going to think about her? Yet she was all I could think of. I stood up, meaning to go get some fresh air outside. It wasn't midnight yet the stench of alcohol was overwhelming. I almost made it to the door, pushing through sweaty bodies and protecting myself from wandering hands until I saw her.
Her big curious eyes were staring directly at me, her lips pouted slightly and eyebrows furrowed. Suddenly the loud music seemed distinct and the numbrous bodies a blur. It was just us . I took in her appearance slowly. It was the first better look I was having at her in weeks.
Her little black dress clinged to her like a second skin, accentuating every curve and dip significantly. The dress ended mid thigh, revealing smooth skin and curvy long legs in silver heels.
Taking in a deep breath, I forced my eyes back to her face. Her make up was not much but visible considering she never wore any. Her hair was in some sort of braids and it was beautiful.
I forgot how to breath for a second, until my lungs started to burn. I didn't have time to decide on what to do next when my legs moved on their own towards her and the drunk bastard, who had reached for her and was now pressing up against her even after she had yelped and tried to push him away.
In a flash he went flying in the other direction, far away from MY Phoebe. She let out a breath after she realized it was my hand that has taken over from the guy around her waist. I pulled her in.
"Are you ok?"
I whispered into her ear and she visibly shuddered, nodding her head quietly. Fuck ! Why did she always have to be this tempting?
"You know, if you don't wanna dance, you shouldn't be in the middle of the dance floor."
I shouted over the music giving her a disapproving look. What I wanted to say was she didn't have to be looking so damn sexy at a party if she wanted to be left alone.
"I was only trying to reach my friends."
She shouted back, gesturing with her head towards a bunch of girls standing by the bar counter.
"Come with me"
I said, giving her waist a little squeeze. The look on her face was one of disapproval but after a loud smack landed on her butt and I nearly lost my shit and punched the guy in the face, she let me lead her towards the door and away from the party.
Immediately the cool air hit our faces, she yanked my hands away from her body and shot me a murderous glare .
"Don't touch me" she hissed.
"Is that all you have to say after sending me that shitty message? What was that for huh?"
I couldn't find a better way to approach the issue. My eyes were shining with anger now, my own glare matching hers .
"Well you seemed to have understood it very well considering you didn't look like you give a fuck! After all you are having the time of your life with your bitches following you around like lost puppies."
