CHAPTER- NINE

It was 11 PM, and everyone had finished dinner and gone to their rooms. Meanwhile, Sara was sitting at her study table, writing her assignment.

Zayyan had come home early that day. After parking his car, he entered the house. When he didn't find his wife in the lounge, he was a bit surprised but then shook off his thoughts and headed toward their room.

As soon as Zayyan opened the door and entered the room, he saw Sara studying, which brought a small smile to his face. Since Sara's back was facing the door, she didn't notice him coming in. She was so engrossed in her assignment that she didn't even hear the slight sounds around her.

Without making any noise, Zayyan quietly placed his coat and bag on the bed and started walking slowly toward Sara.

Coming close to her he whispered softly in her ear, "Mrs. Khan is studying." Startled by the sudden whisper, Sara turned around in surprise. When she saw Zayyan she shook her head and said, "Ya allah you really scared me!"

Zayyan placed both his hands on the table encircling Sara and leaning down close to her face he said, "Mrs. Khan when your husband is with you, there's no need to be scared."

Feeling the warmth of his breath on her face Sara shivered slightly and said, Alright fine. You go freshen up first. I'll warm up the food, and then we'll eat together.

After a brief pause Zayyan asked, You haven't eaten yet?

Sara replied, No I thought we'd eat together so I waited.

Zayyan smiled and said, Alright I'll go freshen up and come back.

Sara nodded, Yes okay.

Zayyan went to freshen up while Sara headed to the kitchen to warm up the food for both of them.

Sara was warming up the food in the kitchen when Zayyan came down the stairs.

Zayyan was wearing black sweatpants and a black T-shirt, with his wet hair falling over his forehead, making him look even more handsome.

Seeing him Sara smiled and said, "kitne handsome hai mujhe pe apni is handsomeness se julam karte hai."

Zayyan walked over and sat down at the dining table.

After a little while, Sara set everything on the table, one by one, and then sat down to eat as well.

They began eating, and the two remained silent throughout the meal. After they finished, Sara started clearing the dishes, took them to the kitchen, and washed them. When she returned, both she and Zayyan went upstairs to their room together.

Zayyan was sitting on the sofa, working on his laptop for office tasks, while Sara was at the study table working on her assignment.

It was around 1 AM when Zayyan closed his laptop, looked at the clock and said, "Sara, it's time to sleep, or else you'll be late in the morning."

Sara replied, "No, if I sleep now, one assignment will be left unfinished, so I'll finish it first and then sleep."

Zayyan put his laptop aside, came over to her, and said, "You go to sleep, I'll finish your assignment."

While continuing to write, Sara said, "You won't be able to do it. This is a biology assignment."

Zayyan laughed and said, "biology to meri bhut achhi hai"

Understanding his humor Sara replied, "apko kuch nhi pta ye genetic engineering ka assignment hai mujhe hi karne dein aap warna kuch gadbad hui to mai kam se gayi."
