Chapter 50: officially Compadres and Comadres

The excitement of Andrei and Fides finding their way back to each other carried on as the families continued to bask in the happiness of the reunion. With the air still buzzing from their celebration, Marco, Xandra, Raphael, and Alyza began planning the next big event—an engagement party to officially commemorate the rekindling of their children's relationship.

Weeks later, the families gathered at Isla El Paraiso, the perfect setting for Andrei and Fides's engagement party. The island, with its pristine beaches and lush greenery, was already adorned with twinkling lights, tropical flowers, and elegant table settings. The gentle sound of waves crashing against the shore created a serene backdrop, while the warm sunset painted the sky in shades of orange, pink, and purple.

Raphael stood near the edge of the beach, adjusting his cufflinks as he watched the final touches being placed on the reception. "This island of ours  is beautiful, Marco. I am honored our children choose this as the venue to celebrate such a special occasion."

Marco, standing beside him, nodded in agreement. "I wanted this to be something they'd remember forever. Isla El Paraiso has always been a sanctuary for us, and now it will be a part of Andrei and Fides's story too."

Alyza, looking radiant in a soft coral dress by Victoria, approached them with a wide smile. "Everything looks perfect. Xandra and I just checked on Fides—she's glowing. It's going to be a beautiful night."

Xandra joined them, her excitement barely contained. "Oh, and wait till you see the cake! It's a masterpiece ofd Zarina. Marco, you've truly outdone yourself with this whole setup."

Marco grinned, slipping his arm around Xandra's waist. "I can't take all the credit. It's a team effort—and besides, it's nothing compared to the joy of seeing them so happy. That's what matters."

All of ther friends- Nickolai and Zarina, Storm and Odette, Paul and Jenna, Light and Pearl, Vince and Xerxes, Ching and Kathrina, Thunder and Victoria, Orlan and Helene, Aldrixx and Athena, Zekiuel and Mercedes, and Brixx and Cherry were all present and some of their available children.  

As the last few guests arrived, the sound of laughter and conversation filled the air, blending seamlessly with the sound of the ocean. The families had invited close friends, relatives, and the people who had been part of Andrei and Fides's journey. The entire scene felt magical, as though the island itself had come alive to celebrate love.

Soon, Andrei and Fides arrived, walking hand in hand across the sandy beach toward the reception area. Fides wore a flowing white sundress made by Victoria, her hair cascading in soft waves, while Andrei looked sharp in a linen shirt and trousers. Their smiles were wide, their eyes bright with happiness.

As they made their way to the center of the gathering, Marco tapped his glass with a spoon, drawing everyone's attention. "Ladies and gentlemen, if I may have your attention, we're here to celebrate not just the love between Andrei and Fides, but also the bond between our two families. This moment has been a long time coming, and I think I speak for all of us when I say we couldn't be prouder of these two. So, let's raise our glasses to their future—may it be filled with love, laughter, and endless happiness."

Everyone raised their glasses as cheers echoed across the beach. Fides glanced around, tears of joy in her eyes as she took in the sight of her and Andrei's loved ones, all united in celebration.

After the toast, the music began, and the evening flowed effortlessly with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt speeches. Alyza and Xandra stole moments to gush about their future grandchildren, teasing one another about who would get the most babysitting time.
