"He's up to something,"

So, it wasn't a secret that Dandy came back after being gone for almost half a year. Everyone was deeply concerned, like, really concerned. No one dissappears without leaving a trail like that.

☕️ "Are you sure you don't need anything? You left for so long... There must be something I can do to help you.." Teagan said, her eyes showing concern as her body language did.

🌼🌈 "I am fine as I can be!.." Dandy said, a fake smile drawing on his face.

Toons came often to check on him. Of course, most of them disliked him, but of course, they had the heart to go and ask.

Except for someone.

📺 "He's onto something, I am telling you." Vee remarked, crossing her arms with a frown.

🌖 "I don't think he's onto something. He is visibly skinny. He has lost care of himself. You know Dandy is weird, but not weird enough to stop taking care of himself."

📺 "Who knows. That gay is weird."

Vee knew this whole situation was weird. Sure, she is 'happy' to see him, but yet she admits it was refreshing to not have to deal with him for half a year.

[Vee POV] 📺💚

I was walking down the path of the town. (Yes, the toons live in a town like in the series in this AU.) Getting my shoes dirty for all of this was disgusting. I saw Brightney talking with Shelly near Dandy's house. It had spider webs all along, and the sun had taken some of its color.

💡"I am telling you, no toon can survive this long for 6 MONTHS!" I could hear her say. She adjusted her glasses.

🐚 "Mmm... Maybe he was on a trip..? Like that time he pranked us telling us he was going to - "

💡 "We all know we don't have elsewhere to go!.. Where could he possibly go?" She looked at Shelly.

Then, both of their attentions turned to me. How good that felt. I loved having all eyes on me.

📺 "Hey Brightney, hi Shelly." I said cool and nonchalantly. A perfect smug in my face as I look at both of them.

Shelly looked to the side, trying to avoid me? What have I ever done to her! Ugh. Brightney smiled faintly, but she still had interrogatives on her mind.

💡"Hi Vee! Are you coming to the party? You know, to welcome Dandy?" She said, adjusting her glasses again. Having no nose was probably a problem.

Before I could answer Shelly said..

🐚 "Oh, look at the time. I have to go check on Pebble." She said, scratching her back.

📺 "You have him?."

🐚 "Yeah, I took care of him while Dandy was gone. He asked me to watch over him."

(Why was Pebble at Dandy's house? Shelly went to his house while he was gone. "You said he had a room!" Yeah, I have problems keeping continuity. He left the door of his house open, and Shelly took charge of him.)

I didn't have the time to ask her anything else because she just left? She waved at Brightney and just left? OK. Fine.

💡"Has Dandy talked to you? He's been very distant lately." She said after she waved back at Shelly.
