Azalea pov
Sitting in math class, I couldn't stop thinking about Aniyah. She had me all twisted up inside, and I was here for it. The way she did Mr. Brown had me wanting to know more about what made her tick.

"Yo, Azalea, you listening?" Jamica's voice broke my thoughts.

"Yeah, yeah! What's up?" I replied, trying to focus.

"Just checking if you're still alive. You seem all lost in yo thoughts" she joked, causing the whole table to burst into laughter.

"Just thinking about Aniyah, that's all," I admitted, and started smiling hard.

"You got it bad!" Ki'niya chimed in. "Y'all should just get it over with already!"

"Shut up!" I laughed, rolling my eyes. But lowkey, they were right. Every time Aniyah smiled or looked at me, my heart raced.

After math, I caught up with Aniyah in the hallway. "You tryna hit up the poppi store after school?" I asked, trying to keep it casual.

"Definitely! I need my snacks," she replied, a huge smile on her face.

As we walked to the store, I felt the familiar thrill of being around her. The way she moved, the way her braids bounced, it was all so captivating. I knew I had to make a move soon, but the fear of messing things up lingered in my mind.

Watching Aniyah and Azalea together was like seeing two magnets pull each other in. As their best friend, I felt like I was witnessing something special. They were cute as hell, but they needed to hurry up and realize it.

"Yo, did you see how Aniyah looked at Azalea in math class?" I whispered to Ki'niya as we walked to the cafeteria.

"Girl, yes! It's like they're in their own world," she replied, giggling.

I couldn't help but smile. "I'm here for it, honestly. They need to just confess already."

"True! But you know how Aniyah is. She's all shy and stuff," Ki'niya said, rolling her eyes.

"Right! Like, girl, just go for it!" I said dramatically, flipping my hair.

As we sat down to eat, the conversation shifted back to our usual gossip. Zayshawn was bragging about his latest football practice, and I couldn't help but snicker at how he thought he was the star player.

"Yo, if you're the star, I'm the universe," I joked, causing everyone to crack up.

"Alright, alright! I'm just saying, watch me next game!" Zayshawn said back, and the laughter continued.

But I kept my eyes on Aniyah and Azalea. They were so close, and I could see the chemistry bubbling beneath the surface.
