Filming the TikTok at the corner store felt so good. The vibes were on point, and I could see Aniyah thriving. “Yo, we need to post this” I said.
“Right! This is gonna blow up,” she replied.
After we posted the video, I started scrolling through the comments, laughing at the ones that came in. “Yo, look at this one! ‘Y’all better get signed!’” I read aloud, and we both cracked up.
“Imagine! We’d be out here living our best lives,” Aniyah said, her eyes sparkling with dreams.
As we walked back to my house, I couldn’t help but glance at her. She looked so cute in that skirt and jacket. “You always look good , mama’s,” I teased.
“Thanks, you know I gotta keep it fresh!” she shot back, flipping her hair.

While Azalea and Aniyah were busy filming TikToks, I was just trying to keep up with everything going on in our friend group. Ki’niya was talking about her on-and-off situation with Jamaica again, and I just shook my head.
“Girl, you gotta stop letting him play you,” I said, rolling my eyes.
“I know, but it’s complicated. He can be so sweet, then act so joe.” she sighed, looking frustrated.
“Honestly, you need to set some boundaries. You deserve better,” I told her seriously.
As we walked to the cafeteria, I noticed Aniyah and Azalea had returned, looking all hype about their TikTok. “What’s good, y’all?” I called out, wanting to know what I missed.
“Just filmed a TikTok at the corner store” Aniyah exclaimed.
“Lemme see” I urged, pulling out my phone to check it out.
