Just like the title says, these are just scary stories I wrote on my free time, probably won't post much because of school, but whenever I'm not busy I'll post. p. s. This is my first time posting on here, please be nice.
Jenna walked home late one night, the city unusually quiet. A thick fog had rolled in, swallowing the streets in its dense, swirling gray. The cold air pricked her skin, and her breath came out in white puffs, quickly vanishing into the haze.
As she crossed through the empty park, she heard it: footsteps. At first, they were faint, blending with the sounds of her own, but soon she realized they didn’t match her pace. She stopped. Silence.
For a moment, she thought she was alone, imagining things, but then they started again—this time closer.
Jenna's heart quickened. She peered into the fog, but it was impossible to see more than a few feet ahead. Her footsteps quickened too. The sound followed, matching her urgency.
The shadow appeared suddenly, flickering at the edge of her vision, just beyond the fog’s reach. It moved too quickly to be human, darting between the trees. Jenna’s mind raced, her breath now ragged as she half-ran, half-stumbled down the foggy path. The shadow loomed larger with every step, closing the distance.
And then, the scream. Not hers. It echoed from deep within the fog, sharp and desperate. She froze, dread coiling around her. The scream was cut off as abruptly as it began, replaced by the soft whisper of approaching footsteps. Alone now, Jenna stood frozen, staring at the shifting fog, knowing whatever cast that shadow was no longer hiding. It was coming for her.
So unrelated to the story but
