Cerion's POV

To be honest, I don't know why I'm doing this. Why would I pull her hand to make her stay?

"Oh?" Aria said, confusingly, of course.

"Nothing, you can go." said I.

She picked up her books and went out of the library. I looked at my phone, I guess I have to go back to our room now. I'm still confused, why would I make her stay? We're not even close? Geez, Io, what are you thinking?!

I went straight to our room and sat in my seat. She looked at me, and I can still feel her confusion.

"I'm sorry, okay?"

"Fine, Cerion." she said.

This is so awkward. I can feel the awkwardness; the atmosphere is so off that I couldn't focus. Gosh, I'm still confused. Why would I hold her hand just to stay? Am I still thinking that she's my childhood friend? That's so impossible.

"So, can you stop staring at me?" she snapped her fingers at me. DID I JUST DOZED OFF?

"Stop being delusional, Aria." WHAT AM I SAYING?

Oh, I have to focus. She's my rival, nothing more. I have to study so that I can perform better than her. As far as I know, we'll be having a quiz for biology. I haven't studied yet, but I believe in myself.

Mrs. Edwards entered our room and then proceeded to distribute the quiz. Luckily, the topic was easy, and I think I'm able to have a perfect score, or if not, then 1 wrong answer will do.

After taking it, we checked our papers. I don't know who got my paper, but I'm checking the paper of Aria. She does have clean handwriting that suits her. Well, I guess that's another reason why the people love her.

Ms. Edwards then collected our papers and announced our scores. Well, obviously, she got a perfect score.

"Supringsly, we have two as our highest pointers! Let's give a round of applause for Ms. Thompson and Mr. Smith!" Ms. Edwards announced.

I'm not surprised at all. I know I can compete with her.

"Nice game, Aria!" I said, and I initiated a handshake, but she refused.

"Nice game." she said, smirking.

Playing like me, huh? What a strategy of hers! Our next subject will be literature. Easy; I always feed myself with literature. As far as I know, based on what I've heard from my new classmates, we'll be having a roleplay. Honestly, I'm weary of it, yet I'm compelled to persist. We still don't have groups, so maybe the formation of groups will be done later.

"Hey, have you thought of who you want to be with in the groupings?" Henry asked me.

"I don't know, someone useful?" I answered.

All I want is a useful person; I don't want anyone who's dumb.

"Is everyone ready?" Mr. Fletcher started our class.

"We will be having just a quick meeting, eh? I will just form the groups for the play, and you are all dismissed." he continued.

"No discussions, Sir? Why?" Aria raised her hand and asked.

"No, dear. I want you all to focus on working for you play." Mr. Fletcher answered.

"So, should we start?" he continued.
