Aria's POV
It's so weird. Why would Cerion act so soft after annoying me the whole day? Does he have any weird personalities? Split personality perhaps? He's the most annoying person earlier, and he's acting like the kindest person ever now.
I really wanted to go home now, but because of the upcoming quiz bee, I can't. I have a review session with Mr. Carson after class. I hurried to his office so we could finish early. I know it's necessary for me to have a review, but because of this long day, I don't think I can.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Carson! I'm sorry I'm almost late." I said.
"It's fine, Ms. Thompson; don't worry; sit down. I have to tell you something as well." he said. What could it be? Is there something wrong with my performance?
"The thing is that the competition needed two representatives. Someone joined us today." Mr. Carson announced.
"Who?" I asked.
"Nobody else but me, Aria." Cerion said. CERION?! What is he thinking?!
"Is this real, Sir?" I asked, I cannot believe it!
"Yes, Ms. Thompson. Now should we start?" Mr. Carson confirmed.
We started our review by 3pm. It's an intense one; we always answer EXACTLY THE SAME TIME! Whenever Mr. Carson gives the question, we both answer it correctly. How annoying! Among all students, why would Mr. Carson choose Cerion?
"By the way, students, the competition is on September 27. Obviously, we only have 2 weeks left, so it is expected for us to have 3 hours of sessions every after class. Is it okay?" Mr. Carson asked.
"It's okay for me, Sir. As long as we can win this once again!" I exclaimed.
"How about you, Mr. Smith?" Mr. Carson asked Cerion.
"It's alright, Mr." he answered.
We spent another hour completing our session. It's already 6 in the evening, and it's quite alarming for me. I don't usually go home by such time.
"Excuse me, Sir. I'll just tell my family that I'll be home by 7pm." I asked for Mr. Carson's permission.
To Mom:
I'll be home by 7, Mom. Please don't be worried, love you.
"Let's proceed." Mr. Carson said.
It's almost 7 p.m., and we packed our things so that we can go home immediately.
"I'm sorry we spent 4 hours to review. You can go home now." Mr. Carson said.
I waved goodbye to Mr. Carson and went to the gate. It's late, and it's hard to book a car at this moment. I guess I have to ride a bus.
"You're going home alone?" Cerion asked me. He looks worried.
"Yeah, why?" I answered.
"I'll take you home, I have my car right there." he said, pointing the BMW in the parking slot.
"No thanks." I said.
"It's late, Aria. It's dangerous." Cerion said in a serious tone.
"Fine, thank you, Cerion." I thanked him.
"No worries. I'll carry your bag." he then grabbed my bag and led me to his car. This is not the Cerion I've known for weeks now.
