Finally after 2 portfolios, 2 essays and one huge ass termpaper I am back ... Sadly I have no doodle for this chapter

Some weeks ago …

A dark winged dragon with white spots and ruby red eyes was busy drying glass in a dim lit bar. „Hey long time no see Akaya.” The dragon looked up and saw that familiar faces entered his café-bar. “Are you guys here for business or are you here for some drinks?”
“Business.” Answered Dark shortly. “Sit down, I will prepare you some drinks. We can talk after everybody is gone.” The agents nodded and sat on the bar stools. “Is Kuraiko here too?” Asked Nanashi curious. “No, today she has her day off.” Dark would normally prefer to come alone, because his co-workers tend to behave childishly sometimes. But they were more stubborn than him, that is why Nanashi and Furuta decided to tag along. Dark was only here for business and to gather information. Nanashi just wanted to spend some time with Akaya and Furuta only came, because he was very envious when his love met up with the bar owner. He tried to win her heart for a long time, but she seemed more interested in Akaya than him. But on the contrary the red eyed dragon showed almost no interest in her, but Furuta couldn’t take the risk of leaving her alone with him. He felt like he had the duty to ruin every chance of them possibly come together. They got their drinks and after half an hour the bar got emptier. When everyone left the bar except the agents, the bar owner poured himself a drink and sat on a stool to talk with them. “We waited for weeks for you to come back in town.” Dark stated bluntly and took a sip of his drink. “I only stay in town if I need money. You know that money means nothing to me. I only work because you can’t help anyone if you have no money in this twisted society. I left the country to support a rainforest-project in South America and stayed there for some time. I only live for the environment and the animals in need. Anyways tell me what you need to know from me.” Nanashi looked at Akaya with adoration. Furuta thought that she looked lovely like this, but it was frustrating to know that her adoration was not meant for him. “I only need to know when you are free, we haven’t done anything together for a looong time darling.” Nanashi smiled and winked, while Dark rolled his eyes and Furuta almost spat out his drink. “Nanashi!” Akaya looked very flustered and pretended to ignore what she said. It has to be the drink’s influence, he thought. “Like I said before, we are only here for business and nothing else.” Dark repeated sternly. “We heard about some secret weapon that is created right now to harm all dragons. Do you know anything about it?” The bar owner took a sip and thought about it.
“I heard something similar from one of my contacts. I mean they didn’t really talk about a weapon, but more about a virus. A potentially deadly virus that only affects dragons. They were a water dragon who worked as a marine biologist and were exploring in an undersea research facility the habitat of some sea creatures. They were the only dragon working in a group of people. But then they found out that the research was never about any sea creatures, it was a research for the D.E.P. program.” Dark was listening attentively the whole time and made some notes in his small notebook. “What does D.E.P. mean? Did they tell you something about it?” Dark asked. “It stands for Dragon Extermination Program.” Akaya answered sharply. “Do you still have contact to that dragon and can you tell us more about them?” Asked Nanashi inquisitively. “They wanted to stay anonym and I will respect their wish. Because their family has nothing to do with all of this.” Dark nodded. He knew Akaya well, you couldn’t force him to give information he refused to share. But it would be great if Akaya told them at least the coordinates to that facility. “Did they give you the coordinates to this facility?” The bar owner nodded and bit his lip. “Yeah, they did … they tried to share the coordinates via videocall. But I think the people found out about it and interrupted our call. They attacked him and he screamed the coordinates, before he got dragged away …” Akaya flinched, he felt very uncomfortable when he remembered their last call.
The water dragon looked terrified, when they tried to tell him every secret they learnt about that facility. He assumed that his contact already knew, that the people knew that he was sharing secrets with someone else. The worst part was when the poor dragon got electrocuted and his unconscious body dragged away. The call ended when the people smashed the whistleblower’s laptop. He hadn’t heard about him since.
The bar owner needed a moment to calm down and took a big sip from his drink. No matter how much he tried to forget this terrifying event, it still felt like it happened yesterday. After a short time, he opened a locked drawer to get a sheet of paper and a USB-stick. “These are the coordinates and photographs he sent me… but the coordinates are not complete. I think Akira will find out the rest, she is a smart girl.” Dark thanked him and put the sheet and stick in his notebook.

And this led us to the current situation …

“We will arrive at the location very soon.” Nanashi announced. Emi sighed and looked at the cloudless sky. “I hope everything goes well.” Kenta looked at her concerned. “Hey girl, where is your energy? You aren’t like this when it comes to missions.” She looked at her best friend and shrugged with her shoulders. “I dunno, I think I just had too less sleep.” But he was not satisfied with her answer. “I think there is something else bothering you.” He was not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he knew her too well to be fooled. “I think I am just a bit nervous, that is the first mission in which I have to do the main part. I just hope that I don’t fail and put everyone in danger … and I yelled at that idiot Katsu earlier, he is so clingy sometimes.” Kenta snickered, he knew that Katsu had feelings for her. In fact, everybody knew about his crush, except Emi herself. It was sometimes very funny to watch how he made a fool of himself.
“Emi, I know you since we were drooling and booger eating hatchlings. You know we grew up like siblings and I know for a fact that being a bullhead is your specialty. If you set a goal for yourself, you make sure to reach it. Damn, you know pretty well that without you this group would not exist like it is now. Make your bro proud and kick their butts!” Kenta grinned widely and gave her a fist bump. “Oh yeah and about Katsu … I think he will be fine!”

“We have arrived at the location, now it’s your time to shine Emi.” Nanashi announced and smiled at the purple dragon. “I am ready, let’s go!” She said with a confident smile and jumped in the water. “Isamu manipulate the enemy’s security system.” The young dragon closed his eyes and concentrated on his psychic powers. “I am on it Nanashi.” She nodded and tried to hack in the enemy’s system. “And Dark –“
Before she could end her sentence, the burgundy coloured dragon already started flying. He knew what to do. He flew to the island and used his shadow technique to create phantom creatures to distract the enemy from above. Kenta grinned and relaxed until his abilities were needed. Stealth wasn’t his strength, but when it came to strong fire attacks and raw power he was the perfect dragon.

Emi’s water abilities were activated after she took her first breaths under water. She felt how her claws became webbed and her tail fin unfolded. Now she was able to move more freely under water and swam closer to the undersea facility. She destroyed the cameras that were manipulated by Isamu and tried to find a way inside. Kenta’s motivational speech helped her a lot, her optimism was now stronger than her self-doubt.
She found a big air-lock door, it was probably used to get out with underwater vehicles. It was her only way to get inside. She waited a bit until the door opened on its own, it looks like that Nanashi managed to hack their system. She grinned and went in.
