1. Slap

Author's POV 

"Arun road la block paniyacha...chief minister pora varaikum route mathi vita route la lam extra traffic police force anupiyacha to control the traffic "

(Arun, are the roads blocked? Also, until the chief minister passes through this way, the route is changed for public use, right? Are there enough traffic police there to control traffic? )

He asked the inspector who was allotted to assist him

"yes sir....Elam correct ah iruku sir"

(Yes sir....Everything is perfect sir)

"Sari Vandila Eru function nadakura place ku nama munadi ponum valila erpadu lam sariya irukanum pathutu commissioner ku reach anathum report pananum avar direct ah anga vanthuduvar"

(Fine hoop on we need to reach the function location before and on the way we will check the arrangements and report the commissioner later he would directly come there  )

He climbed into the passenger seat as the driver started the jeep, while Arun hopped into the backseat....As the jeep passed by, the police personnel stationed at intervals saluted him. He was preoccupied with confirming the final arrangements in the function area via his walkie-talkie.

That's ACP Bairavan who is in charge... 

On the way in one traffic signal he spotted crowd and there was no traffic police to control and clear the place.....

"Vandiya anga niruthunga"

(Stop the jeep there )

he said and got down and moved towards the crowd and he heard a man shouting and scolding while moving closer.....the few who noticed him coming towards them moved aside to pay way to him......and there he saw 

one man fighting with two boys who seems like teenagers....school students to be precise as they are still in their uniform and the man who is hitting them looked like he was in his mid twenties.....

The boys couldn't hit him back anymore they feel on the ground as it was bright day light and afternoon the sun was burning....

Bairavan's hand fisted and he moved forward and held the man's hand who was about to punch the boys again and slapped him harder......

he was about to slap another time that's when he noticed that big black eyes adorned with khol staring at him back with shock and surprise.....The pinch of pain in those eyes did something inside him......

"Umaiyaa.....nee en nadula vantha athapakkam nika sonein la una"

(Umaiyazh why did you came in between I asked you to stay aside right?)

The man who was a moment before hitting the boys with huge anger is now speaking to her with a concern and checking her cheeks which had  Bairavan's fingerprints imprinted.....She didn't answered to the man but was glaring at Bairavan......

Bairavan have no clue why he find her anger more attractive and cute.....those big eyes that carried the anger didn't scared him but that indeed captivated him....

Before he speak, Arun came and mumbled in his ears 

"Sir, CM vara time achu oru 10 minutes la intha route ah cross paniduvar"

(Sir, it's time, CM will cross this way in 10 minutes)

Bairavan regained his posture and said Arun, 

"Inga pakathu police station ku intha 3 peraiyum kutitu poga solu naa vara varaikum wait pananum.....and intha signal la inaiku yaruku posting oh avangaluku 1 month suspension naliku vanthu en kita order ah collect panika solu "

(Take the three to the nearby police station; they have to remain there until I return. Also, inform those who are to be at this signal to come and collect the one-month suspension order from the ACP office tomorrow after meeting me)

He barked the orders to Arun and went back to the jeep and left from there.........before the jeep move....he looked back at her who is still glaring at him and mumbled something twisting her lips....by her lip moments he understood that word and gritted his Teeth mumbling 

"Aandha Kanni"
