"Grace! Kanina ka pa lutang. Hello?"---Napatingin ako kay Sam na kanina pa pala ako tinatawag.
I'm with Sam since 5am for jog and asa cafeteria kami to grab something to eat bago bumalik sa cabins namin.
"Oh. Sorry. What were you saying?"--I responded
"Wala. Sabi ng mga coach kanina may program daw para sa last day."--Sam
"Like an after-party?"-me
she nodded then continued to eat.
"Di ka na nakapagchat kagabi. Natulog ka ba agad?"--Sam.
Kagabi?
"Calm down, I think no one will recognize you since its dark."--Gab muttered while driving since tinatakpan ko mukha ko and baka one of the people I know might notice me na nakaangkas sakanya
"I'm not worried about that!"--I denied to her
Suddenly, the direction that we are heading is not back to our cabin but outside the gate
"Hey! Where are we going?"--I asked
"We're going to eat proper meals. You didn't eat much kanina. We'll just go take a drive-thru then balik na."--Gab
"But I'm not hungry!"--me
She dd not respond for me so I just stayed quiet and humawak nalang sa balikat niya.
We ended up in McDo, but instead of going to the drivethru lane, she parked.
"Akala ko drivethru?"--me
hindi siya nagrespond so I just followed her inside
"Hanap ka nalang ng uupuan natin, I'll order."--Gab
"I'll pay. go find a pwesto."---I was about to hand her my wallet but she left me standing then went to the counter to order what to eat.
Naghanap nalang ako ng table and sat down. Well I guess I also need a meal since I suddenly feel hungry by the smell of the food here.
Gab sat infront of me then it suddenly feels awkward.
"Where did you meet?"--she asked
i just looked at her feeling confused sa tanong niya
"Your girlfriend I mean."--Gab
"Oh, she's not my girlfriend, we're talking tho."--Me
"Ay weh?"--napatingin ako sakanya kasi the atmosphere suddenly felt lighter than usual
"So may pag-asa pa ako?"--she whispered, but I heard her.
"What did you say?"--i asked, she just smiled then shrugged her shoulders
Our number was called and siya na nagvolunteer na kumuha, nung nakabalik na siya----gahd, it looks like she ordered everything on the menu.
"Are you gonna eat all of that?"--I asked kasi andami talaga
"We'll share. You got thinner than the last time that I saw you in your school."---Gab
Naalala ko bigla yung last na interaction namin nung asa school pa kami. And I felt sorry for the way I acted. I was so harsh on her.
