BENEFITS. Specifically, spousal benefits. After dinner last night with Cailyn, I had done some heavy research. I learned there were different branches under the military and the only one I felt drawn to was the army. I started on wanting to know how to enlist and all of it was entirely too much. Not to mention, my condition wasn't going to allow me to go through with it. All that hard work and training I would have to go through would not be good for my heart. I just might pass out and die on the battle ground and I did not have time for that.

Even without the condition, I wasn't going to go through with it. With deeper research, I went from wanting to learn about the enlisting process to finding out about a thing called, spousal benefits. And that's when I decided what I was going to do. As crazy as it may have sounded—and it sounded utterly ridiculous, I'm going to marry a soldier to get those benefits. It was a perfect, yet dumb plan that I ever thought of, but I was going to go through with it.

I think

I didn't know what I was going to do, but I'd like to think it was a good idea. It sounded like one and it honestly seemed like the very last option for me at this point. So, I was going to go for it.

Again, I think

Of course with all my crazy plans, I had to say it out loud just to see how dumb it may have sounded. That's why I hurried to the kitchen where RJ sat at the table munching on cereal. He was the only grown man I know that preferred eating cereal over other meals. If he could then he would live off cereal for the rest of his life. That didn't matter because I wasn't here to talk about what he ate. I took a seat at the table across from him, making him peek over his phone with a deadpan expression. I gave him a smile and his eyebrows wrinkled with confusion written all over his face.

"What?" Aggressively, he questioned as he slurped another spoonful of Cinnamon Toast Crunch into his mouth.

I didn't say anything and instead showed him my phone. He kept his eyes on me for a couple seconds before looking at my phone that had the army page put up. Anxiously, I sat there and waited for a response from him. There was no reaction either and that was making my nerves bad. Though I didn't need his opinion or approval on what I should and shouldn't do, I still wanted to hear his thoughts. After all, he was the one who brought up the military just because I was lacking in the survival aspect. He was pretty dramatic but that wasn't important now.

"You do know you can't join the army right?" He finally asked, sliding my phone back to me.

"I know." I scrolled down to the benefits part and gave him my phone back. "Read that," I ordered while tapping my nail against the table.
