It was happening way too fast.

Way too fast, faster than a hummingbird's heart, or a butterfly's wings.

Her heart rattled repeatedly against her ribcage, her stomach felt like a pot of burning lava, and her face felt firey. Her bloodied nails were torn to complete nubs as her chewed off nails collected on the floor of the condemned building and loud roaring was heard from the distance. Screams were heard as well with military helicopters flying overhead and cop cars whirling by with their sirens flashing red and blue. Where was Viktor? Some of Lila's other family members, including a teen girl who looked somewhat like Allison, were gathered in the building as they talked in Punjabi, but they were as equally confused and concerned about their other family members. Her stepmother was here, other families were here too, but where was Viktor? Did that creature kill him or something?

The thought of it made Morana's heart beat even faster than before, her chest rapidly rising then falling, but it felt like she couldn't breathe with the way her chest easily constricted. Was she dying herself? Was she having a heart attack? No, her left arm wasn't hurting, but her chest was and she swore she was going to black out.

Dolores noticed her daughter's pale face and the way she had her hand over her chest. "Woah, hon." said the middle aged blonde as she stood up from where she sat in the dusty living area and she ignored the confused stares while she approached Morana. Her hands gently wrapped around her stepdaughter's shoulders and guided the gasping brunette to sit down on the couch. "Breathe, sweetie. What's wrong with you? Whatsa matter now?"

"Viktor." gasped out Morana, causing Dolores to roll her eyes in annoyance. "He-he might've died. I-I dunno wh-where he went and-and—"

"You're around him twenty four seven." scoffed Dolores although her soothing gestures on Morana's shoulders didn't stop. "He's probably waiting for you or somethin'. He'll be fine, I'm sure. He'll come up any minute." said the blonde, but she frowned when she saw Morana still panicking.
