   Morana Romano was always worried

   Morana Romano was always worried.

Her eyebrows were always furrowed together, her nails would be bitten to nubs, and she often fidgeted with the sleeves of her jacket or a fidget toy that Viktor bought for her birthday. The lines in her face would appear and crease her skin because of the worried expressions she always made. Her body would be tense, rigid like she just couldn't move freely, and her hands were calloused from the way she clenched then unclenched them. If she could, she would remove the feeling of anxiousness from her stem of whatever emotions she felt. It wasn't usually bad unless there really was something for her to worry about like getting ready for a huge fight arranges for her or getting ready to pay for bills. But this?

This fucking bullshit?

This was the whole center of her anxiety.

Morana didn't like the town of New Grumpson and it caused her to bite at her nails. All of it seemed so creepy and unnerving at how all of the residents were so naturally..TV like. They acted like background actors as they sang their Christmas carols, which reminded Morana that she had Viktor's gift in her pocket, and kids playing nearby with their stupid snowball fights. A carousel rang out nearby and other people, dressed in stupid elf costumes, monitored the ride with children strapped to the plastic horses. It was too normal, but then again, maybe she was just overwhelmed and exaggerating herself.

Maybe they were just normal people doing normal stuff like watching  their kids go on a Christmas themed carousel and singing merrily to some old carols.

She just didn't like Christmas is all.

"Talk about a hidden gem. Sloane would've loved it here."

Her lips were pulled back into a slight sneer as she followed after Viktor in worry and she watched as Luther stopped in front of a shop, examining a vintage photo frame. The shop read Dottie's Antiques in thick, baby blue cursive. Morana wandered away once she heard Viktor and Allison talk, hoping she gave them the privacy they deserved. She just felt so out of place to be in a setting with people she didn't know since she was used to her old routines and it made her feel eerie. She looked over at Luther in confusion as he held up the empty photo frame as if he was trying to visualize something.
