The whole city was packed in the courthouse, every seat filled to the brim. Aristocrats and common folk sat together, intermixed. Lavender's ratty, disfigured hair contrasted her normal demeanor, and she sank in the witness's stand. Ambrosia sat above all, and the others located themselves in the audience. "Citizens of Fairyland, we are gathered here today to reveal well-hidden secrets and restore the true queen to her rightful place. Now, let us call the first witness to the stand. Witness, state your name and occupation."
Angel stood and flew over to the stand, straightening her back. "My name is Angel, and I am currently the ex-queen of the dark kingdom. For now, I'm a store clerk at a jewelry store."
"Thank you. Now, please tell us the story of your sister's betrayal."
The former queen bowed. "As Mr. Klein explained a few months ago, my sister grew jealous of Luna. I was just happy to spend time with my beloved sibling, but as time passed, I felt nervous about it. I found my mom and told her everything. However, my sister lied about the schemes and twisted the story to blame me. She threw a pot at my mother, and she crumbled to the floor, never to move again." Gasps filled the audience.
The gavel was brought down rather softly. "Order in the court please." Other fairies carried themselves over, providing evidence, alibis, and personal accounts of violations of rights. Evidence included old, bloody teal clothes of Jasmine's, the declaration of the dark kingdom's creation, and a torn page out of a notebook decorated with plans. The alibis included several accounts from servants being mistreated and being forced to carry out unethical missions. The marginalized group had the longest list of transgressions against the queen. "We have heard many accounts, and presently, the queen is charged with murder, betrayal, schemes to overthrow the previous queen, gross misuse of power, and misdemeanors against specific groups of fairies hailing from the dark kingdom. Now, can Lavender please come to the stand?"
Lavender scoffed as she shimmied to the witness's stand. "I am Queen Lavender, your true queen and ultimate ruler!"
"Quiet. The true family tree that we discovered buried underneath the library shows otherwise." The queen growled like a cornered animal. "Your Majesty," they said mockingly. "Do you plead guilty or innocent?"
"Innocent, obviously. My friends know my honesty. Right?" The aristocrats looked around in confusion, not knowing whether they should side with the queen or keep quiet. "Well?!" Nobody spoke up. Silence poured over the crowd as Luna flew over the herds of citizens, landing next to Ambrosia.
The true queen of Fairyland shared a look with the sweet judge. "I have come to a decision. The suspect is guilty!" The gavel swung down, and cheers erupted throughout the courtroom. Royal guards in shining armor wrapped handcuffs around her wrists and escorted her out of the courthouse.
Celebrations were had, and happiness flowed through the lands once more. Psychedelic colors painted the world again, and peace reigned forever.
