Nico's POV:

Percy looked scared, now trying to put together his thoughts. Annabeth was close behind Percy, her hand on his back.

"Daughter of sea... Daughter of sea..." Percy said to himself. Nico only watched- it was nerve-wracking. He knew who she was. He had since the casino. Now she was gone. He could only watch Percy's panic. "She could be another sea god's daughter..! Right, wisegirl..?"

Annabeth shook her head. It felt wrong- the crowd gathered around them as Rachel was carried off to the Big House, all watching Percy have a breakdown. It wasn't every day a child of the Big Three got a sibling, much less Percy.

"I don't think so, seaweed brain, I can't shake the feeling that she's a Poseidon kid." She replied. She glanced around before her eyes landed on Nico. She knew he knew something, but not what he knew. "Nico."

Nico shifted his weight to one side. "Yes, Chase?"

"You know something."

His expression darkened. "Who said I knew something?"

"Don't lie to me, Di Angelo."
Nico turned on his heel, walking away. He couldn't deal with this right now- after Jason, the dream, and now the prophecy? Annabeth helped up Percy, dragging the mumbling boy with her as she walked after Nico. He only got as far as the Poseidon cabin before she got to him.

"Nico!" He didn't turn. "Please, this could be Percy's sister!"

Silence. He couldn't bear to hear anything about her anymore. She was gone. She was missing.

"She's gone, Annabeth." His voice broke halfway through the barely audible sentence. He finally turned to face her. Percy just stood beside her with a blank expression, Annabeth's painted with... something. Nico wasn't good with emotions. He hasn't been since she left them all that time ago.

"What..?" Annabeth stopped behind him. He didn't want to think- he didn't want to feel. Her memory was too painful. "Gone? Nico-"

He snapped. This was a very touchy subject, and Annabeth was only pouring salt into the wound. "Just stop! Okay?! I already told you! She's-" His voice broke, a shudder running up his body as tears threatened to spill. "... Gone. Dead probably." He had turned to face her when he yelled. Annabeth's face was painted with a heartbroken expression.

Percy cut in, a tear rolling down his cheek. "...Dead..? My sister could be dead..?"

The tall water-user walked up to Nico, as if treading on thin ice. He grabbed the shorter boy's shoulders, then shook him violently. "I HAD A SISTER AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME?!"

Nico allowed himself to be shaken. He should have known this was going to happen one way or another- Percy finding out about her. Once Percy got tired of shaking him, he spoke.

"I would have rather never told you knowing that there'd be a small chance of her coming around." Nico pushed his emotions down into that pit. 'Bottle them up. Just like the twins did to you.'

He'd probably cry about it later.

"You- you..." He hated seeing his friends like this. Shaken and sobbing. Percy had to be peeled off of Nico by Annabeth- who was now trying to console the sobbing 18 year old. Percy was, well, sobbing, his face contorted with tears and anguish. Nico felt like opening up the ground and letting it swallow him whole.

Her memory already haunted him, and now the knowledge that she exists haunts Percy. All because he never said anything.

'It's all my fault...'

'Of course it's your fault, Nico.'

'What...?'

Silence. That was the same whisper that was in his dreams. Oh... oh no. This couldn't be happening again- Gaea was asleep! Minos was dead... Who'd want to control anybody anymore? The Titans were defeated, the Giants were defeated, the Doors of Death were closed, Nyx was in the Underworld, Eros was taken care of- What else could there be? Maybe he'd figure it out later.

Nico could only watch as Annabeth slowly lowered Percy to the ground where he curled up into himself. The blond glared at him lightly. Nico could only guess that she knew better than to fully judge- He wouldn't talk about something that brought himself pain, and he had never said a word about his old best friend.

"We'll talk about this later, Di Angelo." She sighs, sitting with Percy, rubbing his back.

"... I have a sister...." Percy looked so broken, so hurt.

"You have a sister, Percy." Annabeth said reassuringly. Nico didn't want to watch, but his feet didn't move, as if they were glued to the ground. 'Move. You aren't supposed to see this.' They stayed still.

"But-" Percy let out a shaky sob. "- If Poseidon had another kid why d-didn't he tell me..?" Percy almost choked on his own tears.

"I don't know, Percy."

'I know. He forcefully forgot about her.' Nico kept quiet.

"D-does he not trust me?'

Nico finally walked away. He passed the Poseidon cabin, only to look back at it and sneer.

"Curse you, Poseidon."

The clouds rumbled.

Nico didn't like the sea god for a few major reasons, but the main one was about her. He left her in the casino for years, not to mention her life before that. At least Hades had thrown him in the lethe after his mother died, but Poseidon didn't do anything to relieve her sorrow. He didn't do anything to save her from her mother. There was an endless rant he could play, but he wouldn't. He continued to Cabin 13, where Hazel and Will were waiting for him. Will almost immediately ran up to him, engulfing him in a spine-crushing hug.

"Oh, Nico..."

"You saw that?"

"Of course I did, love."

Nico sighed. He watched his sister step up beside them, moving to hug them both.

"You don't have to tell us anything, Nico." She said, pulling away after. His eyes trailed down to the grass. Why was all of this happening now? He was finally getting his life together, and boom. Jason's alive, she's in his dreams again, and Percy probably hates him again. He wanted to crawl and hide away from the world forever. "Let's get some cocoa, yeah?"
