Katie, Wilbur and Emily hid in the basement of the abandoned mill. Emily was shaking and her mother nuzzled her, "Shh. Everything will be alright. We'll be home soon, in our pigpen and in Homer's care again, with your sister." Wilbur nuzzled his mate and daughter, "I'll keep you both safe, I promise." He promised to keep his girls safe, even if it costed him his life. Katie gasped when she thought she heard the wolves. She kept Emily close, she couldn't bear to lose her loving mate or her precious daughter. Her protective instincts were strong and she would protect her family no matter the danger.

"Split up, I know those dumb pigs are here, I can smell their fear." The alpha said, going around where he thought he smelled the pig family. The other pack members walked around the mill, just around the corner from where the pigs were hiding. Elsewhere; Homer, John and all the others tracked the pigs to the mill, hoping they weren't too late to save the pigs from a horrible fate. "We only want to scare the wolves away." Homer said. Despite the danger to his pigs, he couldn't blame the wolves for being hungry and just doing what was in their nature. He didn't condone it, but he understood why the wolves hunted his pigs.

Back with Wilbur and his girls, they heard the alpha coming closer and closer. Katie gulped a bit, despite being afraid she knew she needed to be strong for her daughter and mate. The alpha stopped and smelled the air, grinning. He caught sight of Katie's eyes. "I see you, my dear." He licked his mouth hungrily. The mother pig shielded her daughter and squealed in pain when she was bitten on the side of her stomach. Wilbur gasped and rammed into the alpha, knocking him down, "Leave my mate and daughter alone!" He squealed.

The alpha growled and got back up, "That's it!" He howled for the rest of the pack, they all came running and tackled Wilbur to the ground, biting his neck without hurting him. "No! Please let him go! Don't hurt him." Katie begged for the life of her mate with tears in her eyes. "Daddy!" Emily shouted with tears. The wolves laughed, "So pathetic. But don't fret, you'll all be meeting your maker, soon." The alpha, Blur, smirked. "Now, who should we take a bite out of first?" He looked at Wilbur, Emily, and finally Katie. He grinned and tackled the mother pig to the ground. Katie gasped as she felt his fangs around her neck.

Homer and the others made their way inside and fired off rifles and shotguns near the wolves, making them let go of the pigs, "Leave my pigs alone!" Homer shouted. The wolves growled as they all ran off, howling as they ran. The humans were glad the pigs were alright but John saw Katie was injured. Said mother pig limped over to Wilbur and nuzzled him, "Oh my darling Wilbur, thank goodness you're alright. I was scared I would lose you and Emily." "Oh Kate, my beautiful Kate." He nuzzled back. Emily came to her parents and the three nuzzled each other. Homer gently cleaned the blood from Katie's side, making the pig wince. "Easy now, girl. I got you. Sorry for the pain." He then gently wrapped her legs with bandages.

"Mommy, Daddy, is it over?" Emily asked, she was still a bit scared. Wilbur nuzzled his daughter, "I think so, dear." He grunted happily, glad his family was ok. "Glad we got here just in time." John said. Homer nodded, "They would probably be a pork dinner had we not found them in time." Katie shuddered at the thought, looking like she might faint. Wilbur came over and kept her on her feet, "I'm here. It's alright, honey." Katie sighed in relief and licked her mate and daughter. "Alright, let's get the pigs loaded up back to my farm." Homer said.

Wilbur was relieved to hear they were going home. He gently nudged his mate and daughter towards the ramp going into the back of Homer's truck. Katie and Emily walked up the ramp and laid in the hay that was in the flatbed of the truck. "Didn't think my pigs would be willing to be loaded. Guess they really just want to go home." Homer chuckled and patted Katie's back. The mother pig grunted in agreement and cuddled with her mate and daughter, she was beyond relieved her family was safe. Emily gently nuzzled her mother's injured side, "You were hurt because you were protecting me." She felt guilty for being the cause of her mother's injury. "Darling your my daughter, I'd protect you to the end of my days. A mother's love is never conditional. You were born from the love I have for your father, you and your siblings will always be my greatest treasures."

Emily smiled with happy tears in her eyes and licked her mother's cheek, "I love you so much, Mommy." The mother pig had a tender look of motherly affection on her face as she nuzzled her daughter, "I love you too, my sweet Emily. And don't worry about being the runt. Daddy was a runt and he turned out amazing. Besides Bruce seems to like you just the way you are." She added some playful teasing. "Moooom." Emily whined as she blushed. Wilbur chuckled with a snort, as did Katie. They both nuzzled their daughter, "Our precious piglet." They said in unison. "I'm not gonna be a piglet forever." Emily pouted.

Katie softly smiled, she was happy to see the familiar sights of the farm but in the back of her mind she feared the wolves would retaliate in an even worse way. Wilbur saw the worried look on her face and nuzzled her, "It's ok, honey. For now, let's just be glad we're all in one piece." She sighed but nuzzled back, "You're right dear, I'm sorry. I'm just worried it's not the end we'll see of those wolves." Emily shook at the mention of the wolves and how close they came to being a meal. Homer unloaded his pigs into their pen. Mercy eagerly ran to her pig family and nuzzled them. She gasped when she saw her mother's side with an injury. "The wolves hurt you, didn't they?" She was worried. "I'll be fine dear, just a little sore." Katie reassured her pup and nuzzled her.

Homer filled their trough with food. Katie just wanted to lay down for a minute and relax. She softly smiled when she felt Mercy begin to nurse from her. Being a nursing sow filled Katie with purpose and motherly affection any babies she nursed, regardless of species. She motherly licked Mercy's head, thinking she would grow to be a strong wolf. It made her sad she would one day leave and find her own mate, but the mother pig would cherish her always as her beloved daughter. Mercy vowed that when she grew up, she would never hunt her family or try to eat them. She loved them with all her little heart.

Wilbur softly smiled at the cute scene and still brought over food for his mate, "Try to eat, dear. You need it to make milk for Mercy." "Right as always my love." She softly smiled and licked her mate's cheek. "I love you Wilbur. Always." He smiled at her words and licked back, "And I love you, my beautiful sow." The three spider sisters in the doorway smiled. They came down and landed on Wilbur's snout, "It feels like just yesterday she came to the farm. Now she's your mate and gave you children." Nelly smiled. Wilbur smiled, "And we're thinking of having more piglets once her body has time to rest."

Homer was planning what time of year to breed Katie and Wilbur again. He was also determining when Emily would be a full grown pig and prepared her to eventually mate with Conrad Hursh' pig Bruce. He thought that pig would be a perfect match for Emily and they would have adorable future piglets together. Homer and Conrad arranged their pigs to breed once they were full grown. Homer was all too eager to keep Wilbur's bloodline alive and well for as long as he could. He was a fine pig in his own right, well behaved and manageable. Homer went out to the barn to check on his pigs, making sure they were all alright. He softly smiled when he saw the wolf pup nursing from Katie. He chuckled and pet the mother pig, "Good pig." He gently scratched behind her ears. The pig grunted, enjoying the attention.

Wilbur was laying beside his mate, gently licking her bandaged side. Emily yawned and nuzzled against her mother like she did as a baby piglet. She was getting a good chubbiness to her and would be full grown in another month or two. Winter was coming just around the corner and Homer got out heaters for the pens and stalls to keep his animals warm. He and Lurvey also began chopping wood just to have it in case they needed some extra warmth. He took the best care of all his animals with Lurvey's help. He was glad to see the sheep's were shorn and that come winter they would have wool on them again. He went to his cows to milk them and to gently scrape mud off their hooves. He always did this for his cows and horses so they wouldn't get infections or bacteria.

The cows mooed in delight as they were milked, for cows being milked was a relief as sometimes it could build up and would cause discomfort and cramps for the poor bovines. Farming was no easy task but when done right and diligently, the animals would thrive and each animal contributes greatly to the ecosystem of a farm. Mrs. Zuckerman smiled as she saw the farm thriving as it had since they first established their bit of land as their home. She came out and gently pet Emily, "You're growing into such a beautiful young pig. You'll grow as big as your father, I'm sure." Emily grunted happily and leaned into the gentle touches. She loved this farm and hoped to stay forever.

Sorry if my chapters aren't always as long as they could be, I hope you are all enjoying the story so far. I think if another Charlotte's Web movie were made, that Wilbur would make such a loving father, given his gentle and humble nature. I'm also thinking of doing more stories after this in my free time. Once again I appreciate any readers that are interested in my stories. I wish you all endless love, prosperity, and joy in your lives.
