The members of the sacred 28 are known for their pureblood and traditional ways of life and parenting that continues even if they seem harsh and unreasonable. The parents teach their children who to associate themselves with and who not to be around, resulting in the child's life to be full of punishment and disappointed looks. They have seemingly unreachable expectations placed upon their small and undeveloped shoulders.

The children must develop a facade and keep it hidden from the rest of the world, and even though they come across as rude and disrespectful they hide trauma given to them by their own parents.

This doesn't stop with one cycle, it continues with generations of these families.

Leilani Lestrange grew up with expectations of perfection, both her and her older brother had different ways of dealing with this. Leilani would push her feelings as far down as she possibly could, not telling anyone about her trauma, knowing that her peers had their own problems to worry about. Roldolphus would turn to anger and he would push this onto other people, often this would cause him to be praised by his parents, leaving Leilani to feel as though for their parents to be proud of her she must do the same. Neither sibling had a large group of friends, infact they were around the same people, and all of them knew that the young girl was different from the rest of them, she also knew it.

Sirius Black was one of the only people who connected with Leilani, he felt as if she could understand how he felt, they were both different to the rest of the children. When Sirius wasn't sorted into the predicted house, his parents began either shutting him out or screaming at him about him not being good enough, and as it would to any other child this took a massive toll on him, he began rebelling against the rules, and eventually he left. He couldn't take the stress and pressure any longer so he ran away to his best friends house, and they bought him in with their arms wide open and their home ready to love another child as if they were their own. Leilani didn't blame him or doing this, she was proud of the boy, but she couldn't help but feel jealous that he was now free from the pain.

Eventually her parents told her that she was no longer allowed to associate herself with the black boy, they thought he would put bad thoughts in her head making her do the same thing as him, and her parents couldn't afford to be shamed like Orion and Wulburga were. Their daughter was already a black sheep.

They were both black sheep, but one was still stuck in the herd and the other broke free.
