A/N ~ This chapter is mainly constructing the background of Aki. Explanations and answers to some questions that were left out in the beginning on purpose, because I'm evil. <3

The journey back on the train earned them all some seriously odd looks, but they couldn't be bothered to care. Megumi needed patched up, and so did Aki.

Neither of them spoke of the close contact, and they were sure they wouldn't ever. Heading to Theo separate rooms as Shoko worked her magic on the both of them. Aki's dorm was right before Megumi's, giving Shoko an easy time patching them up as she didn't have to travel far at all.

Aki slept for two days straight, any use of her cursed technique took a massive toll on her physical health and strength. It left her bed ridden and exhausted beyond belief, forcing her into mini comas of sorts to heal and mend her wounds. She had a dreamless sleep, waking up a handful of times just to drink soup and water before she fell back asleep.

Shoko pitied the girl, knowing exactly what happened that horrible day. The same day that changed Suguru Geto for the worst. Even now, Aki has no knowledge of Toji being Megumi's father. Gojo made everyone promise to keep it all away from the both of them, he made a judgement call with Aki, and Megumi just didn't care to know anything at all. So it was unspoken.

Gojo relayed the mission events to Nanami excitedly as he waited for Yuji to wake up in the shrine room, earning a loud earful of curses he didn't even know existed, let alone could come from Nanami. He was outraged Gojo convinced him to let Aki on the mission to begin with, and how it turned so horrible right under his nose. He scolded Gojo on how he should've been there for Aki's first mission, and how he was always so irresponsible. To which Gojo just laughed him off and said Aki did really well, and she's not too badly injured. Gojo informed Nanami she was just resting as usual, when it came to the overuse of her technique.

They both agreed she should be monitored closely, not knowing much at all about the hollow purple technique residing inside her. It was truly a jujutsu miracle and anomaly, no one and nothing else could absorb his most powerful technique. It was unheard of. Absurd. There were theories here and there about how Aki might have already had a cursed technique and powerful cursed energy without knowing it, since she was only around five or six years old at the time. A technique that could absorb and fuse her cells with other techniques, but that was quickly shut down as she couldn't absorb anyone else's.

Aki also can't imbue her cursed energy into objects. Only her fists and feet, and she can't quite grasp the reverse cursed technique either. So she didn't absorb Gojo's other techniques, just the one. Yet, it gave the girl her own cursed technique. Black Hole. A small vortex that can devour anything it comes into contact with, but it only stays open a few seconds. And like with the penthouse incident, her hollow purple cells can fuse her wounds shut in times of full activation, without her even knowing. But it takes super high stakes to be able to draw upon that much cursed energy, making it impossible to use on command as of now.

Gojo and Nanami made it a mission to train her hard, to give her control and understanding of her abilities. She has the potential to be in the top three special grade sorcerers when she grows up, but only if she learns control. The vision is there, she will just have to rise to occasion. Like Megumi, the blueprint is already set in stone, they just have to figure out how to build accordingly to achieve their full potential.

Akari Unagi, was an orphan. Gojo killed her father as he'd had Riko Amanai's body inside his office when he went to retrieve it. He didn't know until after the fact, when he saw the name badge slip out of his pocket, and then later heard the girl utter her last name. He felt guilty. He'd placed upon two different curses on the little girl. Nanami found out her mother died in childbirth, just like Megumi. And her father died by Gojo's hand. Another similarity. Yet, they were two different complex human beings. One could say it's the astronomical difference between Nanami and Gojo, but it's probably also due to the fact that Megumi held onto his past. He remembered his hardship, and his struggle before Gojo took him and sister in. Akari remembered nothing. She fully believed Nanami is her father, biologically.
