Unexpected reunion

Chapter 2

I woke up the next morning opening my eyes I Saw the sun peeking through my curtains as I woke up I had to blink several times just for my eyes to adjust. God, I really don't want to get up, but I know that I must because I can smell the coffee's aroma from below.

As I  make my way down the stairs and enter the kitchen, I can hear my dad singing along with the radio's selections.
, "Good morning, sweetheart." Dad said.

Observing my dad's morning hairstyle. As he calls it, wake up hair.
Dad Joe is five feet eight inches tall. A lean man with Big brown eyes and grey strands going across dark brown hair. Well, he is 56 years old now.
He still dresses in his pyjamas.
My dad Joe works as an accountant, so he works from home most days.

Morning dad.
Coffee?
Yes Please.

Good morning, Grandpa Joe.
When we look back, we notice that West is awake and prepared for the day.
Could I have pancakes today, Grampa Joe?
Anything for my little buddy?
Before you do anything go and brush your teeth, I tell him. You don't want morning breath I say while laughing.
I know or my teeth will fill out he replies and heads off back upstairs to the bathroom.

Dad..... I have to speak with Papa and you later.
Is everything alright, honey? Naturally, I approach him, kiss his cheek, shake my head yes and head off to get ready for my day ahead.

I make sure all of my books are packed for my early morning classes at university and make my way to my wardrobe.
Today appears to be going to be another warm day.
So I choose a playsuit with a red and black floral pattern and somewhat shortened sleeves.
Put on some simple black shoes.
To hide the fact that I didn't get much sleep the night before, I styled my hair in a messy bun and applied a little makeup.

I head over to the club after a productive yet exhausting day at uni.
It's my day off, but Mason had asked me to come in early to assist in restocking the bar.

Hi, good afternoon.
Hey, Kels I really appreciate you coming early again. Last night was a real crazy one."
Mason remarked,

Kelsey makes her way around the bar towards Mason; no worries, just remember I need to get off early tonight.
Mason inquired, "Do you have anything nice planned for tonight?"
What exactly do you mean?
I am referring to anything nice, such as a date.
No, I'm simply eating dinner with my dads.

Well, you know I'm available when you're ready to date again. He's insane for letting you leave. Mason winks, "Let's clean up the club and stock up on drinks."
Thinking to myself, "I'll be single for the next 18 years of my life." With with baby.

Don't get me wrong. Mason is attractive. He has dark black short hair, large dark brown eyes, and powerful arms and chest. And simply a small goatee beard. He is what is known as a babe magnet, and believe me, he attracts a lot of attention from the ladies. He has always been flirty, but I believe it is more flirty banter. But, after my breakup with Kayden, Mason has been there for me more times than I can remember, whenever I needed to cry. If I needed to vent, he was there. Something has changed for us in the previous two months.

                      Mason pov

Ah, Kelsey. I've always been drawn to her, even in secondary school. She's clever and witty but nice, always the first to volunteer to do something for you no matter what, and she's beautiful. That jerk dumped her, he is insane. I never met Kayden during the years she was dating him. I just know what I was told by her and Sasha. But you know what? I'll be there, biding my time, and showing her how she should be treated, as well as how I've felt for her all these years. I have loved that woman since I was 13 years old. We are friends, but I have always desired more.

              Later that evening.

As I walked into the quaint restaurant, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness wash over me. I was about to tell dads and Papa G, the news that would change our lives forever.

As I sat down at the table, memories of my childhood flooded my mind. Dad and Papa G had raised me since I was a baby, and I couldn't have asked for a better father. They had always supported me and loved me unconditionally.

But now, as I looked at their smiling faces, I couldn't help but wonder how they would react to my news.
What's all this about, princess? Papa  asks
Kelsey, I'm concerned because I sense something is off. Says dad
Taking a deep breath, I mumble the words. I'm pregnant
We apologise, honey, but we can not hear you. Dad said.
I took a deep breath and blurted out, 'I'm pregnant.'
Papa and Dad inhale deeply and for a long time, unsure of what to say or do. At last, papa says, "Oh sweetheart," and Dad follows. Were you aware of this before Kayden's departure?
No, I didn't know till last night.
We will do our best to support you in every way dad said yes of course we will.
What do you want to do about university papa questioned?
Well, I don't want to give up. I have already done a year but ...
no, but Papa responds, we will do all we can.
Now eat, my grandbaby needs feeding Dad said and I laughed.
I will ask Mason for some extra shifts at work, but will you be okay looking after West?
Young lady did you forget that we both raised you from nine months old papa said Dad speaks up, and don't overdo it Kelsey you will be fine we will help in every way we can
That made me more relaxed and happy that my dads had offered to help more than I could hope for.
