Birds chirped to the rising Saturday morning sun. Their tune reached Lorna's ears as she awoke. She rose from laying on her back to sitting up right, covering her naked body with the white blanket and rubbing her eyes to see more clearly. She looked over to her side and smiled at the sleepy look of Martin. His head was rested by the pillow with the blankets covering half of his naked body. His chest hanging out. She kissed his forehead awakening him in the process.

Martin's eyes blinked a few times. He rubbed them a bit as he sat up right. His lips met Lorna's lips for a brief second as they glanced at each other after a night in bed.

"Hi,"said Martin his nose caressing Lorna's."I love you!"

"Love you too!"she said, her cheeks flushing.

Martin lightly caressed every edge of her nose with his, making sure to feel every part of her. His hand was on her arm and slowly pulled of the blanket.

"Wait...I'm sorry..I have to go!"exclaimed Lorna as she lightly removed Martin's hand from her left arm.

"Already,"he questioned, going over to the side table next to the bed to check the time."06:38!"surprised by the earliness on a Saturday.

"Yeah, you see,"she said her naked body vulnerable as she stepped out of the blankets."I need to get home early so Mrs Smith doesn't notice that I didn't sleep home last night!"

She slipped into her pants and fitted into her vest and warm clothes she had been wearing last night."At least stay for some ten minutes,"said Martin clearly depressed as he sat on the bed.

"Martin, you know I can't, maybe next time,"she protested, looking out the window to the morning scenery.

"Well, when will i see you?"

Lorna smiled at Martin and approached him, planting a soft but powerful kiss on his lips."Bye,"

...

The orphanage was a middle class home, for children without homes. It was run by Mrs Smith alone with close to fifteen children being there and supported.

Lorna turning at a conjunction, glanced at it's old brick layering and paint. She really hoped that Mrs Smith didn't notice her disappearance. She thought that maybe she would not have noticed, as she might've not been home last night on some of her personal stuff. Sometimes she would tell the older orphans, to look after the young ones while she's gone. Yesterday, Mrs Smith told her to look after Alaska, Jenny, Maria, Bernard and Stephen. Instead of doing that she was told, she went out on one of her midnight forest visits.

She felt a guilty feeling cripple her as she walked. What if something bad happened? She wouldn't forgive herself. Alaska and the others, specially Maria whom was like a sister to her. The thought was just a nuclear bomb dropped without warning.

She went over to the back side of the orphanage through a passage, and stopped were stood Telonin's window above.

The window was open and the rope that she hoped Telonin would drop when she arrived was already hanging from the window.
