Martin arrived home, the sun still yellow, walking up the porch stairs to quickly unlock the door with his keys. He opened the door swinging it right open and entered. Upon entering, he consciously slammed the door shut.
He was not thinking straight. All his thoughts could conjure up was the darkness that loomed over his life. All the imperfections were pointing themselves out. He threw his schoolbag somewhere on the floor in the dining room and threw himself roughly against the red sofa.
Today, the sofa was not comfortable. He wanted to change out of his school clothing, but didn't feel like it. His sad life was taking center stage. Martin thought about the reasons that the world was treating him they it was doing. How could he deserve such pain. What did he do to receive so much pain in life. Like being an orphan wasn't enough. He barely survived primary school. It was constant judgments and gossiping.
He slouched on the sofa and laid back further than the sofa could allow. The white ceiling was visible as he stared head into it. Funny thing was the ceiling was not actually white. It was colorless, like the immense thoughts that were bombarding his head. He felt himself caress himself where he felt pain. In honesty, he didn't know where the pain was anymore. It was everywhere. Even in the mind. The painful thoughts that came and vanished by default.
Martin sat up properly and stared at something different intirely. He looked upon the table that was centered around the sofas and saw her step mom's beautiful flowers put in a white vase."Life is so depressing?"he thought to himself, the flowers scoching up memories of something."Why do I have to suffer like this?"
He stood from his uncomfortable sitting on the sofa, and swung his arm across the table. Bashing the vase and separating it into broken pieces. Some fell on the ground and water began dripping from the table onto the dinning room mat.
He glanced at his arm and saw some small sharp broken pieces from the vase stuck in his arm and hand."Fuck...goddammit..!"
He caressed his hair with his other hand and felt it to be enough. The pain was too much. It's been almost his entire life that he'd been facing this pain. How long could he keep it up? He just knew the stars wouldn't shine forever.
He started making his way to the kitchen. Arriving he went to the basin and held his fingers firmly on the tap. He turned the knob and allowed for a steady stream of water to gush out. He could feel the ripples caressing his index finger as he felt the temperature of the water. A sad smile slowly plastered itself onto his face, revealing the slow flowing tears coming out from his eyelids. He snatched his hand from feeling the ripples and pressed them against his chest. He placed both of his hands on his chest, and pressed them against his chest, slowly dropping to the floor as he leaned against the cupboards.
He embedded his head in his crossed arms that were now wrapped around his knees and cried. The tears were free to come out. He had his weaknesses. He was human just like the rest of the people that lived and breathed on the planet."I can't take this no longer,"Martin muttered, standing up with determination as he walked towards the cupboards.
