Rex’ First-Person View:

I stood over Zeoticus, watching as his body was cleaved in two from my world-cutting slash. The aether cloak that had shrouded me moments ago was fading, its once vibrant glow now flickering like a candle struggling against the wind. My legs felt like lead, the energy I had used to perform that final strike leaving me on the verge of collapse. But I refused to fall not yet.

My eyes stayed fixed on Zeoticus. Despite the brutality of the blow, he was still alive, held together by the energy I had used. I was the one keeping him alive, the irony not lost on me. This man who had led the Gremory clan for so long, who had scorned me, was now at my mercy.

Me:The energy I used... it's what's keeping you alive but unfortunately you won't live long either I'll make you remember this moment and everything you've done to me before you die

I said, my voice cold and drained of emotion.

Me:I've won, Zeoticus. You're no longer the clan leader.

I hope this doesn't come to bite me in the ass later

I could see the faint rise and fall of his chest as my words hit him. His body was trying to heal, but it wouldn't be enough. Not from this. There was no coming back from a defeat like this not physically, and certainly not in terms of honor. He had lost everything, and now the Gremory clan would never be the same.

I clenched my chest as I fell to the ground...my heart and my aether core

Even my aether veins were giving me extreme pain ...is this cardiac arrest

Third-Person View:

During the battle

In the stands, the reactions were varied. Seekveira and Makima watched with calm, collected expressions. To them, this was simply another display of power, though this time it was on a grander scale. They had both seen rex' potential for destruction before, so they weren’t shocked. Instead, there was a quiet confirmation between them this was exactly what they had expected.

Makima tilted her head slightly, a soft smile playing on her lips.

Makima:As always, Rex doesn't disappoint

she murmured, her tone more curious than surprised.

Makima:The boy has always had this strength within him.

Seekveira’s eyes gleamed with something deeper, a thoughtful expression settling on her face.

Seekveira: rex is... growing faster than even I anticipated

she said quietly, almost to herself.

Seekveira:He’s reaching heights that most devils could only dream of. His potential is frightening.

But Runeas, standing beside them, was different. Her face was pale, her eyes wide with disbelief. She had known rex was powerful of course, she had. But this? This was something else entirely. She had never expected him to go this far. Not only had he defeated Zeoticus, but he had humiliated him, shattered the very foundation of the Gremory family.

Runeas:This... I didn’t think...

Runeas stammered softly, her voice trailing off as she tried to process what she had just witnessed.

Runeas:rex... you’ve grown far too strong.

There was a mix of regret and awe in her tone, her heart torn between pride and sorrow.

Chysis, however, was livid. Her eyes blazed with anger as she watched her beloved Zeoticus lying broken on the ground.

Chysis:How could this happen?
