As I stirred from my slumber, the darkness enveloped me like a shroud, but my gaze instinctively sought out the one person who illuminated my world. Yibo lay beside me, his peaceful face a serene contrast to the turmoil brewing within me. I leaned in, my lips brushing against his forehead in a gentle kiss, savoring the warmth of his skin and the steady rhythm of his breathing. Ensuring he was snugly covered, I slipped out of bed, the soft carpet beneath my feet a silent witness to my nocturnal wanderings.

I padded toward the balcony, the glass door sliding open with a soft whoosh, admitting a rush of crisp night air that carried the whispers of the city. Stepping outside, I felt the chill of the night wrap around me, invigorating my senses. Before me, the city twinkled like a canvas of diamonds, a million points of light shimmering in the distance. I lifted my gaze to the sky, where clouds obscured the moon, their soft, billowy peaks stretching across the horizon like wispy brushstrokes. Closing my eyes, I let the wind buffet me, its icy caress purifying my thoughts and calming my racing heart.

As I stood there, the stars began to shine brighter, their light seeping into my soul, illuminating the depths of my emotions. My thoughts drifted to Yibo, his words echoing in my mind: "Love beyond time." Did I deserve this love, this second chance? My heart swelled with gratitude, fear, and uncertainty, questions swirling like leaves in an autumn breeze. Yet, amidst the turmoil, one truth remained steadfast: Yibo. My everything. My love. My reason for being.

As I stood on the balcony, the city's twinkling lights blurred into the background, my thoughts consumed by Yibo. I was torn between euphoria and despair, confused and frustrated with myself. I had Yibo back, but the weight of our circumstances threatened to crush me. The promise I made to him echoed in my mind, a vow to bring him back alive, but the harsh reality was that I had no idea how to accomplish it. Fear clawed at my heart, its grip tightening with every passing moment, as the thought of losing Yibo again haunted me.
