After Gareth left the two guards started freaking out. Y/N watched them, her neck craning to see them since they walked to another section of the room. Concern spiked through her as Rick stood up. She considered warning the terminus workers but decided against it. Rick kept darting his eyes from her to the workers, it seemed as though he knew her thoughts. Y/N started to fiddle with the rope, she didn't trust anyone in this room and she needed to leave now.

"Look at me," the guards were continuing their conversation. "Hey, look at me. Everything's going to be alright-

Blood splattered the floor as rick killed both guards. Y/N started to seriously struggle with her restraints as Rick walked over to her. He had the knife that the guards used to slit throats, it was still covered in blood. Rick loomed over her before cutting the rope. "Help me free the others."

"Okay," Y/N's feet scraped the floor as she found another knife and cut Glenn free. He stood up and put a hand on her shoulder before going to Rick. She cut the brooding ones ropes and he let out a gruff "Thanks" before going to find a weapon. When she got to Bob he was already standing, conversing with the others but when he noticed her he gave her a strange look she couldn't decipher. She quickly sawed through the ropes and backed away from all four men. While they discussed what to do next Y/N couldn't help the wide grin that spread over face. She had a chance to escape right now and she wasn't going to throw it away. She wiped the stupid grin from her face and started mapping out her plan. She needed to get to the room with all the supplies if she wanted a decent shot at surviving, so she repositioned her knife so it would be easier to fight with and walked past the men.

"Where'r you goin'?" The deep voice of the brooding man stopped her in her tracks. She turned around to look at him and saw all four men looking at her. She backed away from them and raised her knife, her eyes calculated whether she could take them. The answer was no, so she turned on her heel and ran out the door and through the hallway. She heard footsteps following but they soon stopped and she made it out the main door. She breathed in the fresh air as she listened to the chaos surrounding her. Gunshots, The Dead roaming around, people panicking. It made her smile as she could get away with so many distractions covering for her.

The Dead started walking closer to her but went past her in disinterest. She ran past many of The Dead with out  a problem so she made it to her destination quickly. When she shoved the door open and it slammed closed behind her she was greeted with silence. She found the room with all her old stuff and started stripping herself of her old clothes. She was fully naked when the door opened and she was greeted with a gun to her face. The person holding the gun was a curious sight, they wore weird clothes and were covered in dirt and blood from head to toe so you couldn't recognize their face.

"What are you doing?" The incredulous voice of a woman shocked Y/N out of her stupor and she covered herself with her arms.

"Escaping," Y/N's voice wasn't it's usual soft, submissive tone, instead she sounded strong and confident. The woman lowered her gun but stayed near the door. Y/N kept an eye on the strange woman but started looking for her old things. She found her old jeans, t-shirt, thin jacket, belt with weapon holsters, her old knife, her boots with faded ribbons tied to them, and her underwear. She quickly got dressed and stole some other stuff such as a baseball cap, socks, and a pretty ring that fit her. The stranger watched her do this and when Y/N was done the woman went over the supplies picking out random items. It was Y/N's turn to watch her and she was a little confused on why this woman would pick these items but she had the gun so Y/N didn't say anything or move anywhere.

"Alright, lets go," Her voice held such a command in it that Y/N listened to her. Y/N didn't get the sense she was being kidnapped but rather rescued. Both women walked in silence through the building until they came to a candle filled room. Words were painted on the floor and walls. Y/N had never been in this room and it gave her the creeps, she started to hurry towards the door when the click of a gun stopped them.

"Drop your weapons, NOW!" Y/N recognized Laura's voice and she slowly turned around. The woman besides her stayed in her same position. "I wanna see your face."

The stranger slowly dropped her bag but turned around in a flash with her gun raised and shooting. Laura dropped to the ground and her gun landed a foot away from her. Y/N ran to it and picked it up before Laura could get to it. Laura stared at Y/N with loathing. "I knew we should've just eaten you! I told my boys that taking your blood was pointless."

"Fuck you, Laura," Y/N now had the gun pointed at her head. The strangers hand came to rest on top of Y/N's stolen gun and pointed it down to Laura's leg. Y/N glanced at her then back at Laura and shot. Laura's scream riled up The Dead right outside the door. Y/N put the safety on and tucked the gun in her belt. She backed away from Laura and towards the door. The stranger had her bag back in hand and opened the door not fearing the Dead. For a second Y/N thought she was like herself but then realized the purpose of the woman's clothes. The screams and pleading Laura let out as they left made Y/N feel satisfied in a sick sort of way.

Eventually the woman and Y/N made it outside of the fence. The grass and leaves crunched under their feet as they made their way up the hill alongside the fence. They could see Terminus burning down and Y/N was finally free. She was incredibly happy and thankful to the woman who helped her.

"What's your name?" Y/N looked at the woman beside her. They were still heading to some unknown destination but Y/N was happy to follow.

"....It's Carol," Carol glanced at Y/N but kept walking in silence. "What's your name?" She finally asked

"Y/N," A small smile spread across her lips at making an ally. Though Y/N didn't fully trust her she was still going to stick to her until she found a way to get back to her father. "Thank you for not killing me back there."

"Yeah," Carol said. She was still walking somewhere with purpose so Y/N asked:

"Where are we going?"

"To find my people."
