Y/N watched Carol get cleaned up. She threw the tarp she was wearing away and Y/N was glad she did so, it smelled horrible. They continued to walk when Y/N started hearing voices. She couldn't make out any words until "I ain't dicken around with this shit."

Y/N groaned internally at hearing Abrahams voice. The others started chiming in about how they wanted to leave. Could they not make up their mind. Finally Rick spoke. "I hear you. But if any of them survive we're all in danger."

Carol started to speed up and Y/N had to do a half run to keep up with her. She stopped so she was a few yards away from the group. Y/N  looked at them and was a little disappointed but also happy to be back with these guys. The brooding one (Y/N couldn't remember his name for the life of her) caught sight of them and looked shocked to see them. His lips trembled as he ran for Carol embracing her in a large hug. Y/N stepped back to give them some space when everyone started to gather around them.

"How the hell did you get out?" Abraham said to Y/N. She just rolled her eyes at him. She glanced up and made eye contact with Carl, his stare intense. Y/N blushed and looked away.

"Did you do that?" Rick asked Carol, she nodded and they embraced. A lot of the group seemed to recognize Carol and they all closed in hugging her. Suddenly Carol grabbed Ricks arm.

"You need to come with me," Rick looked confused but followed after her. Y/N stuck to the back of the group but Daryl (She heard Carol say his name) seemed to have claimed that spot so unless she wanted to have a contest on who could walk slower she just let him walk behind her. Finally they came to a small shack at the end of a road. The door swung open and a large buff man stepped out holding a tiny baby?

Rick and Carl took off towards them and Sasha ran too. They all embraced before Rick took the baby, he was crying as him and his son embraced the kid. Sasha and the man fell into each others arms crying and laughing. Y/N's heart tightened at the sight, she had to look away it hurt too much. She wished she could see her dad. The group kinda settled around the shack, taking a breather from all that had happened at Terminus, Y/N didn't know where she fit into the group so she kind of loitered around. She found multiple different ways to arrange her weapons in her belt and she did this twice not knowing what to do with herself.

She knew she didn't want anyone to see her scars, even though Carol saw them Y/N wasn't worried as the woman didn't seem like the type to pry. Y/N pulled her sleeve down on her right arm as there was a bite near her wrist and she pulled her jackets collar up to hide the one at the base of her neck. Her kidnappers became her kidnappers because they knew her secret and Terminus held her captive for a year because they knew too, she couldn't trust or afford  anyone else finding out. Finally the group decided to move out. Y/N followed along.

For the rest of the day they walked. Y/N was surprised that when they found a vehicle they only ransacked it for supplies but didn't try to see if it had gas or if it could still run. Her dad and there group held that almost as a top priority. Means for transport was very important to her dad. Occasionally Y/N would listen in on Sasha and Bob's conversation, she almost smiled at their cuteness but didn't because she didn't like Bob.

"Where are you from?" The soft voice of the boy startled Y/N from her spiteful thoughts. Y/N looked at him her cheeks instantly burning with a blush. She never spoke to boys her age and for some stupid reason they felt scarier than other people.

"Originally Michigan," She quickly glanced at Carl before back to the road. She cleared her throat even though she didn't need to. "Where are you from?"

"Georgia, we had a home - the Prison but...," He paused. "But we had to leave. We used to have so many more people but now we're just this."

"Mmm, I know how you feel," Y/N adjusted her collar before continuing. "I got separated from my dad."

    "Is he in Michigan?"

"No, I don't think he's ever been there," Y/N looked up at Carl and he looked at her confused. Carl nodded anyway and handed her a water bottle.

"How old are you?" Y/N was already drinking the water so she just looked at him awkwardly while drinking before pulling it away with a gasp. She handed it back.

"I should be 18 but i don't know for sure," She smiled at Carl but quickly looked away when he smiled back, a blush on her face.

"I don't know exactly either," He said swinging his arms. "I'm probably 17 but my birthday is in the fall."

"Oh," Y/N didn't know what to say. Before she could start blabbing about anything Rick called Carl over to him. Y/N watched Carl walk away and maybe she was checking him out.

They had found a spot to camp for the night and they had enough people in the group for a round-the-clock watch. Lucky for Y/N they considered her a kid so neither Carl or her had to participate in watch duty. Y/N was having a hard time falling asleep and not because of the baby Judith or the quiet conversation from Maggie and Sasha who were on first watch. No she was awake because of one of her biggest weaknesses. She couldn't sleep, like ever, if her back wasn't against something. A tree wouldn't work because it wasn't wide enough so she was stuck lying on her back looking up at the leaves. Her jacket was wrapped tightly around her to keep her warm since there wasn't a fire going. Nobody wanted survivors from Terminus to know where they were.

Eventually someone rolled close to her. Y/N moved her neck to see who it was and saw the back of Carls head. Her face flushed because her face was stupid and she started fidgeting with her fingers. He was close enough for Y/N to be able to feel his warmth. She was so tired so she blamed her next actions on that. Y/N slowly and quietly scooted right up next to Carls broad shoulders and turned her back to him. She snuggled in closer to him. Y/N's eyes grew heavy and a yawn escaped her, so back to back with Carl and warm, she fell asleep. Unaware that the boy had been awake the whole time.

———————-Keith

"Where is she?" Keiths voice was filled with rage as he lashed out at a few of the people who had tied Y/N to her chair in the butcher room. His cheeks and neck were burning with fury. His mother was dead, his home was burned to the ground, and Y/N was gone. He stomped away from the tired people and to his brother. "Why aren't we doing anything?! We should be hunting them down right now."

Gareth looked at him and Keith was shocked to find his own anger reflected in his brothers eyes. "Why do you think I sent Toby out to track any people that escaped? Shut up Keith before you draw the Dead to us."

Keith glared at his brother but couldn't say anything so he just stood there, fuming. Gareth sighed and put his hand on Keiths arm. "We will have our deliverance, Keith. They're just cattle and we are the Butchers."
