Part 8

Show day!!!

 You were excited for the circus' opening night in this town but you still had the Sahed situation to deal with. In all honesty you didn't want to deal with it but you knew it was going to come up eventually. 

You finally came to terms with the fact that you liked him, regardless of how annoying he was or how competitive you guys had been in the past. He was already gone when you woke up so you walked to breakfast alone for the first time this week. You used to always go alone but lately he'd actually been walking with you. 'Whatever, it's fine, this is how it used to be' you thought as you walked, trying to avoid thinking about the fact that you were sad about it. 

You sat with the girls and ate, then it was time to go to final rehearsal. You got there first and had to wait for him this time 

"You're late" you joked when he arrived 

"By 1 minute" he replied 

"2!" Dotty added with a little too much enthusiasm 

"2." He repeated. You went through the routine as you had done for the past 4 days but you guys kept messing up. It was fine but it certainly wasn't good. 

"Wow what happened? It's like you're back to the first day" Dotty remarked 

"Yeah, back to square one" you looked at Sahed as you said it 

"We'll figure it out" he told Dotty, still not looking at you. 

"Ok good! Probably just opening night jitters" she reassured. Of course you both knew that wasn't the case, but Dotty didn't need to know that. You guys redid some parts after that, because Dotty requested and they were fine, the technique was there but it just wasn't as good as before 

"That'll be fine. Do it like that for the show and I'll be happy!" She dismissed you 

"Thanks Dotty" you two said at the same time. You both laughed a bit as you left 

"Not sure what was going on there" you commented once you were backstage 

"You're not?" He said as he left 'Oh ok so it's like that now?' you thought as you watched him go. 

You wanted so badly to go after him but you also didn't want to have to chase after him if he was going to keep ignoring you so you just watched him walk away. 

You sighed and went for a walk around the circus by yourself until lunch time. You were a little annoyed with Sahed for intentionally avoiding you but tried your best to ignore it and focus on other things. After lunch the circus would open for the public to come walk around to buy food and check out the smaller pre-show acts. You finished eating with the girls then after lunch Tonny came out in his costume already and gave a sort of pep-talk to everyone. 

After that it was time to go get ready so you hurried back to your room to put on your costume. You really did love how your costume looked, it was pretty much your dream outfit as far as circus costuming went, the design was perfect and it fit just right too, you made a mental note to tell Kamille that you loved it next time you saw her. 

Once you were all ready you helped out around the circus as needed, greeting people, giving directions and helping the others get ready. You sighed as you watched everyone walking around with the other people from their acts or their significant other or their friends, it was time to go find Sahed. 

There was about an hour until the actual show started, which should be enough time to talk to him, assuming you could even find him. Somehow you had barely seen him all day, which was impressive considering that you guys live and work together and also literally couldn't leave very far from the circus.
