(Song recommendation: 'Waltz No.2' by Cihat Askin)Gwen went to bed early that night, after practically being puked on by Jermy and dancing with him, she left (Y/N) and David with the cleanup. Which wasn't particularly hard.. if you don't count the vomit. (Y/N) drowned the carpet in cleaner, trying to mask the smell mainly. The tables weren't hard to clean, just take the stuff off the plastic cloths and wipe down the tables, easy. David offered to mop the remnants of the vomit from the carpet while (Y/N) took out the garbage. While part of her wanted to be nice and offer to do it instead, she also really didn't want to touch it. So with little hesitation, she agreed. Tying off the top of the trash bag, she wrestled with bag to get it out of the metal bin. Which made it tip over with a loud CLANG. David looked over in concern when he heard the metal come in contact with the wood floor, (Y/N) standing over it with a glare directed at the bag.
"Do you want me to-" David began to speak, on his hands and knees with a sponge and bucket of suds.
"No!" (Y/N) quickly declined. "I can handle it." She assured, finally yanking the trash bag free from the can and stumbling slightly as the weight of it surprised her. "I got it!" She declared proudly with a huff through her nose, holding up the bag like a trophy.
"If you say so." David gave (Y/N) a smile, grateful for her help in cleaning up since Gwen went to bed.
Hauling the heavy garbage bag out, (Y/N) made the trip as quick as she could and made it back. By the time she came through the double doors of the Mess Hall, the place was practically clean. With wide eyes, she looked around in surprise, then spotted David in the kitchen pouring out the dirty water from the bucket, humming the Camp Campbell song to himself.
"You clean quick." (Y/N) commented, coming up to the service window between the dining hall and kitchen, she leaned on the counter. David glanced to her, surprised she'd come back so quickly before registering her comment.
"Oh, yeah, you get good at cleaning after the kiddos after ...so long." David gave a soft chuckle, his gaze returning to the sink, making sure the dirty water went down the drain and rinsing the sink out after. No one wanted to deal with dirty vomit water.
"Hey, so.." (Y/N) began, somewhat anxious to ask. David looked back over to her, turning off the water to the faucet. "Wanna dance?" She asked hopefully, gesturing with her eyes and head to the empty Mess Hall. David's eyes widened slightly in surprise at the question, his eyes looking to the dining room behind her. Gaining his usual smile, he dried his hands and walked out of the kitchen.
"After you," David gestured for her to go ahead of him. With a soft chuckle, (Y/N) moved out to the middle of the floor, doing a small spin to look back at David. He'd pulled his phone out and began playing some music of his own for them to dance to, coming over to (Y/N) with a small sway in his step.
David took one of (Y/N)'s hands in his, the other going to her waist and swaying with her to the gentle tune. (Y/N) placed a hand on his shoulder, holding his hand as they swayed in a type of waltz.
"Thank you, again." (Y/N) began, almost sheepishly with the small distance between David and her. "For letting me sleep in your bed. It's really kind of you." She added for clarification.
"Oh, it's no trouble at all!" David chirped, his head slightly tilting to the side as he gave (Y/N) a close eyed smile. A thought came to David at the subject of letting (Y/N) sleep in his bed. "Were you serious about sleeping together? I-I mean, if I were to get cold and all.." David asked, stumbling over himself at his clarification. The question made (Y/N)'s eyes widen, having forgotten about her playful suggestion of him climbing into the bed with her if he got cold.
