Maya’s POV
The morning sun filtered through the curtains of the pack house, casting a warm glow across the room as I woke to the sound of distant birds chirping. The tranquility was a welcome change, but even in the stillness, I could sense the responsibilities awaiting us. Today was the day we would take our places fully—not just as Alpha and Luna, but as leaders who would forge a new path for the Silvermoon Pack.
Leo stirred beside me, his arm draped over my waist, pulling me closer. I smiled at the peaceful expression on his face, one I had come to treasure after everything we’d been through. But beneath that calm exterior, I knew the Alpha in him was always alert, always thinking ahead.
“We have a lot to do today,” I whispered softly, my fingers brushing through his hair.
“Mmhmm,” he murmured, still half asleep, “but for now, let’s just stay like this.”
I chuckled, leaning in to kiss his forehead. “I wish we could. But the pack is waiting.”
He sighed, his silver eyes fluttering open, looking at me with a mix of affection and resolve. “Alright, Luna. Let’s get to it.”

Later that morning, we stood at the heart of the pack house, where the council of elders and our strongest warriors had gathered. There was a sense of anticipation in the air, not of fear or tension, but of readiness—readiness for the new era we were about to usher in.
Jaxon stood nearby, his arms crossed as he surveyed the room, his expression unreadable. “They’re all here, Alpha,” he said quietly, his tone respectful. “They’re waiting for your word.”
Leo nodded, stepping forward with that confident presence that commanded respect from every wolf in the room. I stood by his side, feeling Lyra’s strength surging through me, a reminder that we were in this together.
“Thank you all for coming,” Leo began, his voice steady but powerful. “We’ve fought battles together, faced enemies that sought to tear us apart. But we are still standing. Stronger than ever.”
There was a murmur of agreement, heads nodding as the pack listened intently.
“But our work isn’t done,” he continued, his eyes scanning the crowd. “The Bloodfang Pack may be defeated, their Alpha gone, but there will always be challenges ahead. What we do next will determine the future of our pack—our family.”
I stepped forward then, my voice clear as I addressed the group. “We’ve spent so much time preparing for war, for defending our territory. Now, it’s time to build. To strengthen not just our defenses, but our relationships with one another, with neighboring packs, and to grow as a united front.”
Leo looked at me, a proud smile tugging at the corner of his lips before he turned back to the pack. “We will need every wolf to play their part. Not just in strength, but in wisdom, in compassion, and in loyalty. This pack is more than warriors—it’s a community. And together, we will ensure that Silvermoon remains a symbol of unity and resilience.”
Jaxon stepped forward then, his voice booming as he addressed the crowd. “We’ve proven our strength in battle. Now, it’s time to prove our strength in peace. The Alpha and Luna have led us to victory. Now, we will stand with them as they lead us to prosperity.”
The room erupted in a chorus of howls and growls, a show of support and excitement for the new direction we were taking. I felt a swell of pride wash over me, not just for Leo, but for the pack. For all of us.

That Afternoon
After the meeting, Leo and I spent the rest of the day walking through the pack lands, visiting with members of the community, and listening to their concerns. It felt different now, lighter. The constant weight of danger had been lifted, replaced by hope for what was to come.
“Did you ever think we’d get here?” I asked Leo as we strolled through the forest, the afternoon sun warming our skin.
He glanced at me, his eyes softening. “Honestly? There were moments I wasn’t sure we’d make it. But now… I can’t imagine being anywhere else.”
Lyra stirred within me, her thoughts mingling with my own. This is our place, Maya. With Leo, with the pack. We were meant to lead, to protect, to build.
“I feel the same,” I replied, both to Lyra and Leo. “We’re stronger now. Not just because of the battles we fought, but because of everything we’ve learned.”
Leo stopped walking, turning to face me fully. “We’ve been through so much, Maya. More than most wolves ever face in a lifetime. But I wouldn’t change any of it. Every struggle, every victory, it’s all brought us here.”
I nodded, my heart swelling with emotion. “And now we can focus on what really matters—building a future for our pack, for us.”
Leo’s gaze softened, and he reached out, pulling me into his arms. “For us,” he whispered, his voice filled with warmth.

Later That Night
As the moon rose high in the sky, Leo and I stood on the cliff overlooking the Silvermoon territory. The pack was safe, the land peaceful beneath the shimmering glow of the moon.
“I want you to know something,” Leo said suddenly, his voice low but filled with emotion.
“What is it?” I asked, curious.
He turned to me, his silver eyes reflecting the moonlight. “No matter what happens, I’m with you. Always. You’re not just my mate, Maya—you’re my partner in everything. And together, we’ll face whatever comes.”
I smiled, feeling the truth of his words settle deep within me. “I know, Leo. And I’m with you. Always.”
As we stood there, bathed in moonlight, I knew that whatever the future held—whether it brought challenges, triumphs, or new beginnings—we would face it together.
The Silvermoon Pack was strong. And with Leo by my side, I felt unstoppable.
