Just as the humpback was going to warp away from Earth, Ryan's mercenaries intercept the humpback before it could warp. Left with no choice, Farron orders all starfighter pilots to prepare for combat. The humpback readies its cannons as the starfighters are sent out. Meanwhile, Ryan leads his band of mercenaries in a full fledged assault on the humpback. Shots are fired as the starfighters engage in combat. Ryans falcon effortlessly guns down several starfighters from the humpback thanks to the falcons superior speed. Back on the humpback, Jack prepares to get into the eagle when he hears the sound of mechanical footsteps coming from behind. He turns to see a heavily modified goro mech colored black with red markings and glowing yellow eyes. It was equipped with a shoulder mounted pulse cannon and a hand-held drill bunker.
"So this was the thing you were working on Sierra?!" Says Jack, surprised upon seeing the mech.
"Yep! Took longer than expected but its finished. I call this the Battle kong and its ready to crack some heads!" Sierra says, exited and proud of her creation.
As Jack enters the cockpit of the eagle, Sierra climbs on to of the starfighter with the Battle kong and clings on to it. Jack soars out of the humpback with Sierra holding on, blasting enemy starfighters as they make their way towards Ryan's ship. Ryan see this and diverts hi attention towards Jack and Sierra. Ryan opens fire on the eagle and Battle kong. Jack tries to dodge each shot but some manage to hit the eagle. During this, Sierra grabs a piece of debris and throws it at the falcon. The debris hits and throws the falcon off balance. When Jack approached the ship, Sierra jumps off the eagle and onto the ship. Sierra grabs the drill and proceeds to burrows an entrance into the ship. Jacks focus shifts towards Ryan as the falcon approaches the eagle.
Sierra enters the ship and proceeds to wipe the floor with mercenaries. The Battle kong tanks the shots that are fired by the mercenaries guns. Sierra blows them away with a single shot of her pulse cannon. Sierra fires another shot at the ammo deposits, disabling some of the ships primary cannons. Meanwhile, the Eagle and Falcon engage in combat. The two starfighters take shots at each other as they zoom past one another. The eagles shots do more damage to the falcon while the falcon is able to get more shots into the eagle. Ryan tries to aim for the cockpit but Jack dodges the shot and blasts off one of the falcons wings. With only one wing, the falcons speed has been greatly reduced. Missing a wing, Ryan turns the falcon around to return to his ship. As he heads towards his ship, it dawns on Ryan what Jack and Sierra are trying to do.
"All unit! Guard the generator! Don't let that mech anywhere near it!" Ordered Ryan.
Ryan makes his way towards his ship with Jack right behind him. When the falcon land in the ship, Ryan immediately exits and makes his way towards the generator. Jack ejects out of the eagle and guns down a few mercenaries before chasing Ryan. With some of the cannons disabled, Sierra reunites with Jack and proceeds to chase Jack towards the generator. As they get closer to the generator room, Jack and Sierra mow down any mercenaries that get in there way.
Meanwhile, the humpback and starfighters struggle to deal with Ryan's mercenaries despite the fact that the cannons of his ship are disabled. The mercenary starfighters are able to out maneuver the humpbacks starfighters thanks to their superior speed. Some these starfighters were even able to destroy some of the humpbacks barnacle cannons. It seems as though Jack and Sierras efforts were for nothing. The humpback is doomed to be destroyed or so it seems. Just as all seemed lost, several mercenary starfighters are shot down just as they were going to destroy the thrusters. The crew and pilots of the humpback look and see a massive red beast of a ship. That's ship is the leviathan, the flagship of the Crimson storm.
"Need a hand there Captain?" Asks Queen Scarlet through the intercoms.
"Wasn't expecting an alliance with space pirate but we could use the assistance." Says Captain Farron.
"Good to hear that. Alright mateys! Lets show these mercs the might of the Crimson storm!" Queen Scarlet says, inspiring the crew of the leviathan as pirate starfighters are sent out.
With the combined forces of the humpback and the Crimson, the mercenaries are finally facing major resistance. It is now up to Jack and Sierra to destroy the generator and defeat Ryan's mercenaries once and for all.
