In the year 48XX, the united galactic republic is in conflict with the imperial galactic federation. For many years the republic and federation were in a constant stalemate. That is until the discovery of ancient technology by the crew of the cetus class ship HMP-BCK(commonly known as the humpback). Led by Captian Farron, the humpback begins its journey back to one of the republics strongholds, Earth. At first, the trek was going by with no interruptions. Just then, the humpback gets a distress signal from nearby ship.
"Permission to open communications, Sir?" Asks one of the ensigns.
"Open communications with that ship. Lets see who's sending this distress signal." Ordered Captian Farron.
A screen opens to reveal the inside of the ship. The ship is a raptor class EG-L3(commonly known as the eagle) starfighter . A human in his early twenties appears to be the pilot of the starfighter. The man makes a request for an emergency landing. Captain Farron orders for the docking bay on the side of the ship to open and tells the man to land. The man steadies his aim for an emergency land in the humpbacks docking bay. The starfighter skims on the floor of the bay before coming to a halt. The crew looks at the eagle and see the damage on the wings and thrusters. The cockpit opens an the man step out of the damaged starfighter.
"Man. That was a close one. Any later and I would've taken this ship down with me. Now, best to have a word with the capt-" Says the man before being interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Jack? Am I seeing things?" Says an aquarian, a race of semi-aquatic humanoids.
"Sierra? Oh my god!" Jack says with joyful surprise at seeing Sierra.
Sierra rushes towards Jack and gives him a massive hug. Jack hugs Sierra in respond despite feeling his spine being crushed. Sierra lets go of Jack after remembering the muscle strength of her species.
"I can't believe you're here! What happened? Where have you been all these years?" Sierra asks with a mixture of relief and confusion.
Before Jack could answer, Captain Farron enters the docking bay and sees the commotion. The sauren Captain orders the crew to step away from Jack. Farron approaches Jack and Sierra, towering over both of them. Sierra, seeing the reptilian Captain, salutes Captain Farron.
"At ease Ms. Oceania. So this is the man who sent the distress signal." Farron said.
"Indeed I am, Captain. The name's Jack Rider, sir." Says Jack in a mature tone.
Jack explains how he was caught off guard by some crooks who shot at his ship. Jack fought them off but not without sustaining heavy damage to the eagle. Sierra offers to repair the starfighter with her crew to which Farron gave the approval in response. Jack asks the Captain about the destination of the humpback.
"We were on our way back to Earth when we received your distress signal. I assume that is also your destination as well Mr. Rider?" Farron asks.
"Correct, sir. I don't know why exactly but I know that where I'm going. I'll lend my assistance in any way I can until we get there." Jack responds with confidence in his voice.
Allowing the human to stay on the humpback, Captain Farron orders set coordinates to Earth. The crew gets to work maintaining the ship and repairing the starfighter. Sierra proceeds to show Jack around the humpback. The voyage to Earth for the humpback and it crew has begun.
