"Lisa, where do you keep the glasses?" Ethan asked from the kitchen.

"The cabinet on the right" Lisa replied.

"Ugh!!" I hear Veronica groan.

"What is it?" I asked, pulling down the sleeves of my knit jumper.

"Emma Stevenson is going to Hawaii for summer vacation." She rolls her eyes and shuts her phone off before face planting onto the couch.

We were relaxing in Lisa's living room which by the way, was massive. There was a large built in fireplace with a flat screen tv hanging on top of it, a large white sofa sitting in front of it, and the comfiest, softest, rug I have ever felt in my life.

Although me and Lisa are like sisters, we never really hung out in her house. It was always mine which is a bit weird considering Lisa's house is something you'd see in a reality tv show.

I was sitting on the floor, laying my back against the front of the couch with Lisa, while Veronica and Matthew were on the sofa.

"That's so cool!"

"No, Allie! It's not cool!" Veronica huffed and sighed before continuing, "everyone's doing something fun and exciting for summer, and what are we doing? Staying at home and doing nothing"

"If you're sick of doing nothing, you could always do me, V." Matt grinned at Veronica.

"shush you! This is a very serious conversation" She retorted.

"I wouldn't say that word around him, Ronnie." James said as he walked back from the bathroom. "He doesn't know what it means."

"If you're talking about the word conversation, I certainly do know what that means" Matt remarked.

"I think he meant the word, serious" Lisa chimed, her eyes not moving from her phone.

"Let's not get side-tracked here people. We need a plan for summer." Veronica yelled.

"Like what, a road trip?" James said, rolling his eyes.

"That's perfect!" Veronica, beamed.

"Wait no I-"

"Guys let's go on a road trip!" Veronica suggested, practically jumping off the couch and skipping around the room.

"To where?" I asked

"Florida, maybe?" Lisa suggested, "everyone's going this year."

"Oh yeah! I can surf and me and Jamie here can watch the girls." Matthew turns to James beside him and nudges him with his elbow, "they're are a whole 'nother breed dude, I swear." Matt cheered from his seat, sipping on was I'm 99% sure is beer.

"Thanks, Matt." Veronica rolled her eyes.

"Nothing compared to you, V"

"Dude" James yelled, "stop hitting on my sister".
