Be My Forever?

Chapter 3- The Proposal

++Harry's pov++

I woke up on the floor in Ron and Hermione's room. Bloody Hell what am I doing here? And then it hit me, a terrible pain in my head. I needed to throw up. I ran to the bathroom and puked my guts out only to find Ginny rubbing my back and she had a potion in her hands. Please be a hangover cure.

"I think you might want this." Ginny said, handing me the potion. I immediately took a drink already feeling better.

"Thanks love." I said leaning in to kiss her.

"Not until you brush your teeth!" She laughed. I went over to the sink and Ginny walked downstairs.

I walked down to find a wonderful spread of breakfast from pancakes to french toast, it looked delicious. I sat down next to Ginny and placed a hand on her inner thigh. She looked at me with pleasure and began eating. The whole family started talking about Quidditch when Victorie spoke up,

"Harry when are you and Ginny going to get married?" she asked, her sweet little 4-year-old face smiling.

Ginny practically chocked on her food and laughed, "Whenever Harry decides to man up and ask."

I laughed, just wait until tonight

After breakfast we all went on with our days, Molly was babysitting Victorie and Dominique, Arthur went to work, Hermione was reading in an armchair, Ginny was helping Molly with the kids, George headed out to the joke shop, and I was trying to convince myself to talk to Ron about the proposal, I know he will approve but I'm still nervous.

"Hey er Ron can I talk to you upstairs?" I ask, ready to throw up.

"Yeah of course mate"

We walked upstairs, he knew I was nervous. We reached the door and walked in.

"So what do you want to talk about?" He asked sitting on his bed

"So Ginny and I have been dating for 3 years today and I wanted to do something special." I explained playing with my thumbs.

"Bloody Hell, I know where this is going." He paused, his expression unreadable. "Of course I approve! You guys are made for each other! I know how much you guys love each other."

I looked up. "Do you want to see the ring?" I asked walking toward the door.

"Nah I'll see it later. Why did you think you had to ask me?" He asked a look of puzzlement on his face.

"Oh I just thought you would want to know."

"One more thing, Harry. You be good to her. Oh and welcome to the family! Now we will actually be brothers!"

--Later that night--

"Hey Gin, do you want to go for a walk?" I asked so nervous I thought I was going to explode.

"Yeah... sure. But are you breaking up with me?! Harry I swear if you are!" She yelled tears forming in her eyes.

"No no, don't cry! This is a good thing." I assure her grabbing her hand and walking out the door.

We walked in silence until we reached a tree that we had carved our names into when we first started dating. I stopped at turn to her kneeling on one knee. Tears formed in her eyes, Merlin she's gorgeous.

"Oh Harry," She cries a look of bliss in her eyes.

"Ginevra Molly Weasley, we have been friends for almost 11 years. I didn't always love you but I have always thought you were bloody gorgeous, until year six came along and everything changed. I couldn't stand being away from you, I still can't. You complete me, I honestly don't know what I would do without you. When Ron was listening to his radio while hunting for horcruxes I would listen for your name making sure you weren't hurt or missing. I want you to be my forever."

By now she tears were streaming down both of our faces.

"...I wouldn't have come back if it ween't for you, I love you with all my heart."

I pulled out the ring, she started crying even more.

"Ginevra Molly Weasley, will you marry me?"

"Yes Yes of course!" she said between tears.

I got up and hugged her tightly. She whispered in my ear, "I'm marrying the chosen one."

I kissed her with great passion, she kissed back her hands cupping my face. We stayed like that for a few minutes until I pulled back. "Should we go tell everyone?"

"Yeah lets go." she replied, grabbing my hand and leading me back to the burrow.

++Ginny's pov++

We walked into the burrow hand in hand. Everyone was sitting down at dinner, we sat down and joined them. the whole family was there; Dad, Mum , Bill, Fleur, Charlie, Percy, Audrey, George, Angelina, Ron, Hermione, Victorie, Dominique, even Andromeda and Teddy. Mum must of had them all come. We sat down next to each other across from Ron and Hermione.

Hermione looked down at the ring and smiled.

After an amazing and stuffing dinner, Mum brought out dessert. At the end Harry and I stood up.

"We have an announcement." I squeezed his hand gently. "Harry and I are engaged!"

Squeals, cheers, and wolf-whistles filled the room. We both blushed.

"So let's see the ring." Fleur said smiling.

I walked around the the table showing off my beautiful ring, it's honestly the prettiest thing in the world.

After dinner and talking with the family Harry and I went up to my old bed and went to bed, falling asleep in each other's arms.
