JungKook didn't understand why he had caressed Jin like that. Not that he regretted it, but it was something unusual, something out of his control, something he had never done with anyone else, not even with his only ex-girlfriend. A relationship that had been cold and empty, so much so that she left him, accusing him of being insensitive and distant. However, that didn't matter to him at all. He never loved her, the relationship had been only to please his parents, who wanted to see him settled and "normal". But the feeling that invaded him when he was near Jin... that rude blond, something inside him did not fit.

The bewilderment caused him a mixture of emotions that he couldn't even identify. It wasn't something physical, but a feeling that that boy was hiding something, something big, and JungKook felt it. He suspected that the blond was not as innocent as he wanted to appear. There was something behind his actions, something that kept him on the edge of his curiosity. But what would it be, why couldn't he get it out of his head?

"What do you think, Professor Jeon?" The principal's gruff voice brought him out of his thoughts abruptly.

JungKook blinked, somewhat disoriented, trying to remember what they were talking about.

"Well...it's perfect for me. Though one would also have to take into account the opinion of others..." he said randomly, hoping his answer was vague enough to fit into the conversation.

The director nodded with satisfaction.

"That sounds good."

The meeting continued, but JungKook barely paid attention. His mind kept returning again and again to that blond with eyes the mysterious color, every gesture, every word, etched in his memory. It was as if something was pulling him toward him, something he couldn't control. As he left the room, the same girl who had warned him about staying away from Jin was walking beside him. He didn't understand why she was harassing him so much since he had arrived at the institute. He couldn't deny that the girl was cute, but she wasn't blonde and didn't have those mesmerizing eyes.

"And tell me, JungKook, are you free tomorrow?" the girl asked with a flirtatious smile.

"Maybe..." he replied without interest, barely processing what she had said.

The girl snorted, frustrated that JungKook wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention to her, but she wasn't planning to give up. Ever since she had first seen him, she had decided that he would be her future husband, and when she set her mind to something, she would achieve it. However, when she saw him stop abruptly, staring at the blond occupying his thoughts, she began to doubt. If JungKook was also interested in him, she wouldn't stand a chance. She knew she couldn't stand up to Jin. If the boy found out that she was an obstacle, he wouldn't hesitate to get rid of her like trash. But that didn't stop her from trying to keep them apart. She would be subtle, calculating, because she loved her life too much to risk it.

JungKook watched Jin in amazement. The blond was cornered by a guy much bigger than him. He could see him threatening him, pointing his finger at him, and in one swift movement, the man fell to his knees. Jin had kicked him in his balls without batting an eye. Then, without further ado, the blond resumed his walk as if nothing had happened.

"You like him, don't you?" the girl murmured, spying JungKook's reactions out of the corner of her eye.

"Yes... a lot." He replied automatically, until his eyes snapped open as he realized what he had just admitted. "No...I don't like it I mean, what were you saying?"

But the girl was no longer paying attention to him. When she turned to answer, he had already moved forward, following in the blond's footsteps without a second thought.
