"Oh my gosh, it's been so long! How have you been, Riya?"

I clenches my fist around my phone, my heart racing. Forcing a smile , I replied "Uh, hi... Aisha, it has been a while."

Does she really think we can just talk like this? Like everything is fine? Like my ex didn't cheated on me for her.

"So..., Are you with someone or still in trauma about the past relationship...i mean are you single?" She asked, looking at me from top to bottom like I'm something type of weirdo..

"Oh actually that's...none of your business." I respond her with a fake smile.

Why the hell she wants to know whether I'm single or not?? Oh so she could take away my boyfriend this time too? If I had one??...

"Riyaa..why you acting so rude yaar? I'm just asking" She sighs dramatically.

Yaar?? Mera bass chale toh main iski zuban nah khich lu? Badi ayi 'yaar' bolne wali...

Control yourself riya..

"Mein aisi hi hu." I said straightforwardly, visibly not at all interested talking to her. I looked away, hoping for someone to call me or take me away from her and for some reason my eyes started searching for Abhay, I couldn't find him anywhere.

"Riya yaar, I'm telling you, I felt so bad for you that time like... you know what I mean, right?" She speaks again, her voice sound nothing but mocking.

Seriously, how can I forget, that 'once a b*tch, always a b*tch' . She's still the same old Ayesha , who's trying her best to get on my nerves..

"You know, I always wondered how you managed to keep him. But guess what? he just needed a little...excitement in his life. After all " leaning closer, her voice dripping with sarcasm. She didn't stop there, and continue her nonsense "Well, he certainly never mentioned you as exciting. But hey, congratulations with the whole "getting over him" thing."

"Funny you mention that, Ayesha. But I hear pretending to be perfect can take a lot of effort too" Suhana joined us all of a sudden and was ready to throw hands on Ayesha.

I quickly grab her hand and whispered in her ear "Suhana control, don't create a scene here, please" she gave a look and said "I'm  creating a scene here!! Isne start kiya. Tu dekh, aaj toh main iss bandi ko khatam kar dungi. Kasam se.."

God save me...

"Oh, Suhana, I don't pretend. I just actually know how to keep someone interested." She responded, raising an eyebrow, smirk still in place.
