the sound of her heels clicked against the polished floor as clementine entered the therapist's office, the late afternoon light streaming through the large windows. the room was bright and inviting, filled with soft colors and plush furniture. but the warmth of the space felt like a stark contrast to the whirlwind of emotions swirling inside her.
taking a deep breath, she walked toward the therapist's desk, her heart pounding in her chest. it had taken a lot of courage to make this appointment, to step into a space that felt foreign yet necessary.
the therapist, a kind-looking woman in her late forties with warm eyes and an understanding smile, welcomed her with a nod.
"hi, clementine. i'm dr. walsh," she said, gesturing for her to take a seat.
"how are you feeling today?"clementine settled into the chair, feeling the weight of her decision press down on her.
"i'm not sure," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
